Cyberbeast acceleration in various driving modes...

Let's talk about the acceleration of the Cyberbeast without going through the "Launch Mode" procedure where you have to mash the brake and the throttle and wait for the suspension to lower and say it's ready.
*What's the truck like just mashing the throttle from a dead stop.
*How much different is it mashing the throttle in "Beast" mode vs "Sport" or "Chill" modes?
*Does "Beast" mode make the suspension unbearable for everyday driving like the Hummer EV's WTF mode?

Beast mode lowers the truck into the low suspension setting.
It’s really fast. I took a buddy for a ride, put it in beast mode, punched it when he wasn’t aware. He said when it was all over he almost pissed his pants lol.

I haven’t actually tried the launch mode yet. I’m kinda worried to put that stress on the shafts. I know Dblcapcrimpin stripped the front axle on his.

Ummmm...that was due to a bolt that was only finger tight some time after he crashed the nose of the truck into the ground. No idea if the impact with the ground was related to the loose bolt. But the Cyberbeast is engineered to take all the torque the motor is capable of producing, so launching it will not cause the axle to strip unless there is a defect. Dblcapcrimpin's splines would have stripped whether it was launched or not. Because the bolt was no longer holding the splines together.

Good info so far. I think the launch mode is supposed to preload the drive train to minimize shock but that don't help when you need to accelerate unprepared. Has anyone done a launch in "beast mode" without the launch sequence and timed it?

How was the ride? Is it tolerable or jarring/stiff and uncomfortable?

I have mine in sport and low mode all the time and I do notice its fast but not as fast as beast. Beast just gives it that extra push like having turbos kick in. I haven't launched it yet but I have taken it down same roads as my R8 and 911. The truck in beast is faster than both in beast mode. Feels the same in sports.

I have no review for comfort, never tried it...

How are your tires holding up? Mine are 5/32 and 4/32 with just 6251 miles on them.

I ride around in Beast mode sometimes on my way home from DC. It's about an hour drive every. Single. Day.

But, it's fine. Beast mode feels a little twitchy with the accelerator and Regen seemingly extra eager to make changes in velocity. The ride, while a bit stiffer is no worse than any other truck. It is definitely bumpier than in Standard or Chill but not uncomfortably so.

Launching in Beast Mode but not in Launch Mode is pretty freaking fast. I don't notice much difference in those two modes on a regular street.

Chill mode is almost lethargic in throttle response. While it is fine for highway use, I find Standard is the best all-round mode to be in. It allows for very spirited throttle response while not giving everyone whiplash on every throttle press or lift.

I have a draggy/beast but havent taken the time to do this right - lol, need a long flat road where it's safe to do so....but preliminary numbers

Sport 0-60 at 4 sec even (not sure if sup was in low or med)
Beast (no launch mode) 0-60 at 3 sec even
Havent Beast launched and timed yet

Going dirt biking in 30 minutes but maybe tomorrow morning I'll go do some timing runs.....need to find a damn road or go hoon the airport (joking)

I timed a 2.6 second 0-60 on a slightly uphill road with a passenger with a beast launch.

A non-launch mode 0-60 in medium height seems to be very dependent on traction and tire temperature. The 60ft zone often is slow, as the tires are slipping and traction control is working hard. To the point it feels like the v-tech kicks in yo! At about 30mph when the tires get grip.

I still think Tesla is sandbagging the 0-60 launch. I’ve never had a vehicle be so consistent, with zero tire temperature prep, on different roads. And I’ve yet to see any time with a proper sticky summer tire.
