Spoke with my local SC.

Yeah, I received my vin on the 23rd of May, went to my local SC (because no one answers the phone) last week and the gentleman pulled up my account and stated the my CT had a tentative arrival for this Wednesday. He then said it might take 2-3 days for inspection and then I would be able to pick it up. After talking to him for a few minutes he said that they are understaffed and receive vehicles every day. He said the workload is overwhelming but they try to deliver as soon as they receive them.

I was finally able to finish most pre-delivery steps and schedule delivery today. Never a notification from Tesla other than alerts directly from the app (which I've been checking 6 times a day since I got my VIN).

I changed my configuration to White Decor on Saturday AM 6/1/24 based on comments on this board that they were being delivered more quickly - site went from July - Sept to June - August. Seems to have been great advice. VIN was issued early afternoon same day - notified that truck was available the next day on 6/2/24. Delivery window offered several days later but decided to show up at the dealership unannounced and they accommodated an instant delivery within 2 hours. Amazing!!!

In speaking with the rep at the store - he said they have been receiving many trucks (currently delivering 2 - 4 per day) several of which are not pre-assigned/matched to an order and it appears there may be less than full awareness about the white decor option to create an earlier than expected match.

Updating below to report a successful delivery today. A minor panel misalignment above the rear passenger side door that they documented, though debatable whether I care enough to do anything about it, otherwise, truck looks and drives great!

I do miss FSD, but the 70 miles back home gave me a good chance to get a feel for the size (fuck this thing feels big compared to my S haha) and handling (the steering is super fun). Looking forward to being able to now easily toss our bikes in the back, kid's sports gear, camping stuff, snowboarding stuff, and yard waste.
