I came across this video on sharkhide product that is meant to protect metals. I have seen it used in the boating industry. This guy covers the application on the Cybertruck.

Looks like a similar product to Protectaclear. Based on this limited video, maybe it's a little thinner.
It sounds like removal might be a bit easier.
