Yeah they DID. But they were recalled due to tires being damaged. They started shipping without and SUPPOSEDLY they are sending an updated replacement. Been months for me so far waiting but NOTHING.

In the meantime there's plenty of different retail options to cover the hub and nuts but of all the ones I've seen this one is probably the better looking one. There's also a carbon fiber (I think) option out there that looks good but it's $500.

not one person other than owners will even notice the wheel covers.. Dozens of people have looked at my CT and not one said , youre missing wheel covers.. I think we all need to stop being OCD and just drive the damn thing
True, but the wheel covers are primarily to maximize freeway efficiency. They won't be a huge gain (in efficiency), but a gain is a gain. All Foundation Series Cybertrucks come with covers but we are waiting for the re-designed ones to be produced and shipped. I mostly use my Cybertruck on slower roads so it's not a big deal for me. But someone doing a 70- 80 mph commute every day could see an actual benefit.

I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to cover the hub and lug nuts. I actually like the wheel as it is and probably won't use the aero covers anyway, I ordered the core wheels because there's more space between the spokes and I may paint the calipers. I may be wrong but I think real live testing has not demonstrated a significant range advantage with the wheel covers anyway.

I liked the cyber covers from the beginning but really the advantage to me is they look easier to clean than a rim. I know I won't take them off and clean the wheel underneath each time I wash. I wonder how much the originals were messing up the tire? Probably not much if you keep tires inflated and not doing a ton of off road. I bet the price goes up on the ones still floating around out there for those that want that original release look.

I agree. The original covers would be great for towing trailers since the recommended tire pressure when towing is 65 psi! I don't think the sidewall is going to rub when inflated for towing.

Unfortunately, I don't think Kyle from Out of Spec followed Tesla's recommended towing tire pressure when he did the Cybertruck towing range testing. Maybe because he's lazy, I don't know why he would ignore it.

My issue with the original CT wheel covers was the ease with which they could be removed. I hate to be pessimistic against my fellow man, but can you say, “Stolen Cybertruck trophy”?

I didn't think about that. Years ago I had a new 94 Z28 and people would snatch my center caps. Heck people were stealing tailgates years back. Good point. Though my Camaro didn't have 120 cameras, external audio speaker or look lethal during a walk-around either....lol

I’ve had the opposite experience, probably ~60% of the people who walk up to look at the truck go “where are your center caps?” (Doesn’t help that my wheels are rusting in those spots and it’s an attention-grabber).

suffice it to say, I’ll be buying the wheel covers if they don’t ship them to us
