I think a proper stage 1 would be underbody protection, skid plates, and some kind of replacement for the bumpers that improves departure angle. Stage 2 would be a more durable suspension with clearance for 37” tires. That’s basically all you need. Carry the spares in a second vehicle.
Departure angle, I believe, is because of the hitch, not bumper.

Where did you get the tie down for the Spare Tire? I got one spare tire (parted out from a set) - not directly from Tesla, and am looking for a nice way to attach inside the bed when needed.

You're probably right. The UP kit replaces the hitch so maybe they bring it in a little to go with the bumper. I haven't studied their picture too closely. The other big problem is that all these mods add a crazy amount of weight. I have to think the full UP modified CT is an absolute pig and given the horrendous off road performance of the 9k lb Hummer EV I'm not sure an AWD CT should get an extra thousand pounds of steel. A carbon fiber plastic hood assembly and super light rims would be a nice Stage 2. Maybe you can take the doors off too...

Yeah I agree, this is not much of anything. It’s practically stock but with added weight now. Although, not sure how much additional underbody protection it needs, isn’t it already protected?
I think it is protected but the general idea seems to be that you can't really have too much protection since that is a critical component and it would be better to replace a modded part than a stock part.
