Did the last software update reduce the locking sound volume?

I can hardly hear my looking sound (jail door) anymore, it is very muted since the last software update. Can this volume be adjusted? Was the software update just a random overlap and there is a problem with my external PWS speakers?

It seems like they increased the volume to 11, then dialed it back again with the next update.

Given that they can't make up their minds, a volume control would be in order.

You can turn it up, go into the Toybox and start a light show. Turn up the volume while it's going and that's the same volume as the locking sounds.
At least it was like that before the update, since it's lower now, I haven't tried it again yet.

Yeah… it’s a bummer … I try to nail people getting up close and personal to the truck and they can’t hear the fart. Disappointing.

I'm happy with the new volume; after the previous update (which made it too loud,) it was too loud in my use cases.

I agree that it should be customer-adjustable, but for now, this is much better for my neighbors and me.

Really boggles me why they hardset the volume and not allow the user to turn it up or down to whatever their desire is. They keep going back and forth with the default volume on these updates and it is annoying. Hopefully next update puts the volume control in the hands of the user.

Anybody figure this one out? Sentry mode fart and mic are useless for me since the volume is so low.

The suggestion made by jasper7821 did not work. I had 2 further software updates since the volume was lowered, no changes were made. Is there an official Tesla suggestion site where users can add constructive feature update requests?

Yup! Went from too loud (preferred vs low) to too low. How hard can it be to pick a volume?

I know it's something silly as a fart noise but you'd be surprised how many times I'm asked about it. I agree though, this should be user adjustable.

I just tried engaging the fart sound from the app and it's barely audible. I was hoping the newest update was going to fix it but seems like no.

I noticed that too now. That's how you used to be able to adjust the exterior speaker volume. It's weird, it'll still adjust the Lightshow volume but not the lock/fart sounds.
