Results of automatic car wash

my results of a car wash were not good. most of the panels still had dirt on them as if the spinning rags did not maintain contact.

it was quite the scene though, everyone was shooting their cameras while I fumbled getting the truck into carwash mode*. first time failed but found neutral.
second time through carwash mode worked fine(?)

*I hope you can't find my befuddled expression on youtube somewhere.

There are just so many different auto car washes... I've got one that I use that should be fine. Although it does have some spinning parts, it is carefully thought out and well maintained. I always leave off the auto wax and tire wash though...

The one thread discussing automatic car washes was positive, and this one is negative... I am assuming if you just choose a no-touch car wash, then you are good??

I've taken my CT through a regular carwash many times. Zero issues. It comes out looking great after a quick microfiber wipe down. Why would Tesla offer a "Car wash mode" and "free roll" if it a car wash wasn't acceptable? It's a truck. It NEEDS to be able to handle a carwash.

tesla made the same “no car wash“ recommendation for My 2016 MXP90D And My 2019MXP Raven. I wrapped the 2019 MXPin Excell PPF and took it through at least 500 times in Michigan

the weather sucks too much to do it myself.
glad to hear cybertruck can handle it

my follow up question is, can a vinyl wrapped CT handle it?

Most cars on the market have a warning to not go through a car wash.
