Yes, Gloss black that "completes" the triangle profile and mimics the window tint so kind of looks like the window extends to the truck bed. I thought from a design standpoint it "lightened" just the large black mass at the back.

Which PPF (texture/color/manufacturer) did you use?

Many of the black PPF’s out there are not pitch black and therefore read “grey”…it looks like yours is one of those unfortunately…

I used stek matte black and looks super black when not in direct sun light.3 coatings of cquartz reserve makes it extremely reflective like a mirror

that explains it…unfortunately you were deceived…matte PPF should not be ceramic coated…it exacerbates the matte’s reflectivity making it read much more grey in brighter scenes…

I have the identical PPF installed on my CT. There are ceramic coatings specifically designed for matte and satin PPF. I used Gtechniq HALOv2 Flexible Film Coating. No shine at all.

PPF should last a really long time... Vinyl does too when taken care of and garaged.
