can you play the tablets sound through the CT speakers ?
Yes you connect it as the bluetooth device. You can also connect 2 Bluetooth devices at once to the CT, so you can still get calls on your phone and music from the tablet.

For me, this would make driving less safe.
I would say its no more dangerous than your typical phone mount. If you use it incorrectly it could be dangerous, just like any tool.

One way it will make driving more safe is having better and larger camera feeds on the main screen. Now the rear view camera is always available, even when turning. Also you now have navigation in line with the path of your driving, you do not need to glace to the right.

Is Tesla's mapping that bad to need this? Having an object flying at you at neck and head level during an accident may not be the best course of action.

Could you imagine having your head bounce off the airbag to have this thing bounce off the airbag and lodge into your forehead? No bueno!

Tesla mapping and navigation is excellent. This is a danger to the driver and all who drive around them.

Don't let everyone rain on your parade. This is no more dangerous than a Model S with the nav on the main screen. It's only dangerous if you use it poorly! To many people in the world want to try to save you from yourself! Use it responsibly and you are fine. Well done sir.

I been looking for something like this. I am curious to know how secure it sits. I would only need one holder for my phone.

Yes it blocks some, but the tablet isnt flush against the white trim so air still comes out below it. I personally do not like the air blowing directly into my face, it dries out my eyes, so this setup doesnt bother me.
Are you aware that you can divide the driver's AC airflow into 2 streams, thus blowing to the right, and blowing to the left, leaving the middle not blowing into your face. You do this by placing your thumb and index finger together in the middle of the airflow on the screen, then separate your thumb and index finger to the sides. The airflow will split accordingly. You can do this on the passenger side as well.

Newton would like to have a word with you. An object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by an external force. In a crash the tablet would fly towards the front of the truck, and away from my beautiful face. It is also on the other side of the airbag. So unless it was able to reverse direction and pierce through the airbag I should be okay.

Yes thank you I am aware. My response was to someone asking if it blocks the air, and it does but only from going directly into my face. It will still come out in different directions.

That phone holder is very nice. It rotates and pivots in any direction you would want. With the included magnets its actually difficult to remove the tablet because the hold is so strong. Its also very cheap at $12. I highly recommend it.

When/if you remove it you would only need to peel off the adhesive from the plastic trim its stuck to.

You might want to check your state regulations on this as it is illegal in a lot of states.

The Cyberbeast comes that way, but I have seen kits advertised to wrap it. You might even be able to order that trim part directly from Tesla that way. ?‍♂
Interesting. I didn't know that. Thanks!
