My wife and baby hangs out in the car and waits for me when I run errands that might take a little while like go to the doctor and such. What’s the best mode for duration like this? Is it dog mode? I just usually leave the car with the AC on keep mode but when I lock the doors from the outside, sentry mode turns on which I think is good but the screen shows the sentry owl when my wife wants to just keep whatever is on the screen running. I wonder if there’s a better alternative.

Camp mode is designed for exactly what you're doing, except make sure the occupants lock the car from the screen, or you do it from the app when you walk away.

I do this at least once or twice a weekend in my Y while I'm out with the family. AFAIK, camp mode in the CT operates the same as all other vehicles.

Leave them the key or don't lock the door.

Off topic, but how do I lock the doors while in the truck? is there a button? I was charging and some kids opened the door and wanted to see the truck (not a big deal, nice kids) but what if I wanted to lock the doors (If I was in San Francisco for example)?

There's a lock icon on the screen, just give it a tap

Edit: there is also a mode to unlock only the driver door when you approach. I recommend this if you generally drive alone.

Didn’t even see it lol, thanks! It was driving me nuts
Hey, don't sweat it! Adjusting to no physical buttons is a paradigm shift. I've just had head start with my model 3 since 2019. ?

Don't do anything works great. Sentry mode puts a wrench in it and I wouldn't suggest having anyone in the car with Sentry on. If it goes off, the loud sounds may damage the ears.

With Sentry off, the vehicle will stay on for about 15 minutes and then shut off, simply touching the screen will wake it back up.

LOL... reminded me of the old joke:

Pirate walks into a bar with a big wooden boat steering wheel shoved in his pants.
Bar tender says "You've got a steering wheel in your pants. Why?"
Pirate says "Argh, it's driving me nuts"

Set her phone up as a phone key. When you walk away car stays on AC as well plus she can switch to her music/settings
plus if something happens to your phone, you can go home, ET
