Hauling small plywood loads (4x8 sheet)

In case you were wondering how much a 4x8 sheet of plywood sticks out of the bed when the tailgate is up, it's around 26". From the tailgate to the end of the sheet is more like 14". I got a single sheet of 1/2"-4x8 and a sheet of EPS foam. I'm not sure what the load rating of the tailgate is, but I would be apprehensive of doing more than three or four 3/4" sheets with the tonneau cover like this. Any bumps in the road might put too much upward pressure on the underside of the tonneau cover.

Lol yeah. No driving difference. I didn't have to go too far though. Probably some extra drain over long distances

Usually you would drive with the tailgate down but that makes your rear camera ineffective. I would like to see that problem remedied in a new design, either a camera that rotates back when the tailgate is down, or an auxiliary camera higher up in the rear glass, perhaps both?

Yeah, if I was getting more plywood, I would strap and drive with the tailgate down, but this is just 1 sheet. It would have been nice if the camera was up higher, independent of the tailgate.

There's a window in the back and a rear view mirror, seems it was thought of in the original design.

Great info really. I just broke the virginity of my CT by loading up about 700lb of 4' wood branches for my parents property after a storm tore down some branches onto their roof. My prior truck was used for normal truck stuff regularly but after 5 weeks of ownership today was the first day I did actual truck stuff (though still light duty). I did feel a bit of pain dirtying up the bed though for the first time, lol.

As mentioned, 8' sheets fit great with the tailgate down. I just left the vault open so I could use the mirror.
