What is this steering wheel icon on display?

Hey Guys

Any idea what this steering wheel icon with blue circle around it is? Sometimes the circle goes 75% around the icon and sometimes around 25%. Then at times the icon is completely gone. Tried searching online but didn’t find anything.

When the gray steering wheel icon is displayed, an autopilot steering mode is available. When engaged it is blue.

I had a new Model X go for hundreds of miles with the FSD calibration never quite finishing. I then did some research and discovered it really likes straight roads with multiple lanes in the same direction. I reset the calibration and drove to a 6-lane highway (3 per side) and it calibrated within a few minutes.

Hi!

The icon that you are seeing is the progress bar for camera calibration. Once the cameras are calibrated, they can be used for Traffic Aware Cruise Control and Full Self Driving (once it gets released) along with other features.

Other posters are correct in that driving on straight, multi-lane, well marked roads will get it to calibrate in less miles.

Once calibrated, that icon will turn blue if FSD is activated and some sort of blue steering wheel icon for things like TACC.

that would be oof! according to Teslafi and others, OP's software version comes with fsd 12.3.6 so it should not have FSD yet...
