Today is Beast delivery day (RN1127560XX, VIN 09XXX). All tasks have been completed in the app. After which a text message from Tesla see below. No hoopla, smoke, light shows or cheering for me. But I'll take it just the same.

Below is frictionless delivery they are doing in Irvine, CA. I have a checklist to go through which may take 30 minutes. If I see a problem with CT, They want me to just go find a human.
Feels more like renting a car...

"Hi Vincent, this is Tesla Delivery reaching out about your Tesla pickup appointment! Our advisors will be inside our building but all of your agreements are completed through your Tesla App so it is not necessary for you to check-in with them - we encourage you to complete your delivery with our self-lead process.

When you arrive, locate your vehicle in our parking lot by matching the VIN in your Tesla App with the VIN & nametag on the dashboard of your vehicle. You then can accept delivery in your Tesla App & set up your phone key with just a few clicks. At this point, you are ready to drive off!

Congrats on your new Cybertruck! It's a more amazing truck the more you drive it and put it through its paces. I feel like I'm bonding more with mine every week (and it's been 6 weeks)!

So how did you pay for it? I'm planning on using a cashiers check from my credit union and imagine I would have to turn that over to a physical person.

Initially I was going to use a cashiers check. I was in the bank parking lot and decided to open the app and there was an option to use Plaid to transfer the money. I connected Plaid and Tesla received their money in a few hours.
I'm only financing $30k of the Beast price.
If you pay in full using Plaid. You robably won't need anyone to help you.

Yes, some Service Centers that are quite busy may still incorporate the self check in and pickup process.
However that does not stop you as a consumer from entering the premises and requesting one of the staff to assist you with any issues you may find either with the delivery vehicle or any steps in the process that they may have the answer to.
On that same note however, I’ve been to my local SC 2 times since picking up my Model X Plaid (which fully involved the staff) as when I purchased the model X plaid it was on the showroom floor and purchased through the Tesla loyalty program and was actually there for my 2016 model S90D service for a pyro fuse upgrade and ended up on the fly buying that MXP from the SC and driving it home that day and had to return back in a few days to pick up my model S.

The staff at Mechanicsburg PA were so overwhelmingly professional, courteous and kind as well they bent over backwards for a deal of the century.

It was like I had the red carpet event without knowing anything like that was going to happen when all I was doing was going to service my model S.

I highly praise these SC staff as I know the service industry and what it takes to make customers happy and Tesla certainly checks that box.

I will be seeing them very soon as well, once I receive my Cyberbeast VIN and can’t wait to see not only the truck on delivery day but also the staff to catch up somewhat while going through the delivery process.

I was also there 2 times since then to purchase model YP & LR for both my son & daughter and they were excellent as ever.
