Someone in San Diego will be up soon. I'm deferring my CB order for the 2nd time. Was supposed to pick one up 2 months ago. My VIN came up again last week and am supposed to pick one up this weekend. I'm going to try and keep deferring until FS is over.

Good luck with that, I don’t see that as being an option but I’m rooting for ya

Interesting, so your VIN to delivery is 3 weeks vs the typical 2 weeks.

Did the SC schedule delivery after receiving the truck or is it still in transit?

Shortly after I received my vin I got an message telling me my delivery date , I immediately messaged the rep and told them I would need to reschedule because of work. The rep to me to disregard the delivery date appointment because it was an automated message and my truck was not even on site yet.

So all that to say I’m assuming once you have a vin they have it set up to send you an automated delivery date and they expect the transit to only been a couple weeks

My VIN and.delivery date came at the same time, indicating that it was at the SC.

Similar to mine. I got it Saturday night and got the schedule delivery the next morning. I actually asked the delivery person if it was a reject due to issues. She said they rarely ever have rejects. I believe it, there were families there picking up other Teslas. They went inside the cars, pushed some buttons and went back inside to sign. Never even checked for panel gaps, issues, etc. I spent 1 hour looking over the truck before I even went inside to check in for my delivery appointment.

Those video texts got me as well.

I tried to schedule a date for a demo but they removed that option from the web-site. I’m traveling the Charlotte near the Matthew SC and wanted to sit in and test drive the CT while close by. Went through the web request and waiting on a rep to call me. I also call the CS and left a voice message for “sales” - as there was no answer. I texted in the app indicating I’ve never heard back on the demo from the web request or CS call and the response was “We will have an advise reach out to you”.

Just after that exchange I received a text - Video on charging….

It's a 2 piece design. They probably just slapped it on without separating the 2 pieces first in order to align it. It's just a stupid design and another reason why the core wheels are better.
What a PITA. Such a stupid design.

It's really not that hard. That guy in the video is not that bright. I think the design is fine. It's pretty secure. Just can't be a total idiot and just slap it on.

Of course it shouldn't be so easy to separate the two pieces or they would be flying off while you drive?

My experience: Put the thing upside down on a cardboard box if you don't want it scratched. Wear gloves to protect the nice soft hands and separate the tabs. Easy.

So, you configured and paid the $1k for a FS but don’t want a FS while thousands of people are still waiting for a FS?

Order yours earlier next time. Don’t understand why people whine so hard about what other people do with their money.

I have mine. I’m speaking of being considerate of others.
