Definitely a must for me. I use for work on jobsites. Random boulders, bricks, cement truck wash out piles. Let’s Go!The high-quality laser cut RIVAL Skid Plates are made from deep stamped 1/4-inch thick aluminum. This durable underbody armor offers both a lightweight and high strength solution for underbody protection. Combined with a no drill installation, it’s an easy choice to protect underbody of your vehicle from rocks, logs and scrapes. Being an extremely corrosion resistant material aluminum will not rust even if the surface coating becomes gouged or scratched.
Your non-corrosive Cybertruck deserves this non-corrosive RIVAL armor.

Well, that factory protection is not robust enough for the off-road conditions that many Cybertrucks are yet to encounter... Particularly the plastic lower control arm guards, which we simply weren't fond of at all.

RIVAL 1/4-in. Thick Stamped Aluminum Skid Plates
are coming later this summer.
Count me in as highly interested. Would these also serve the role of "battery armor" as mentioned recently or would that be a separate offering?Skid plates are now in queue for production, we should see the first batch arrive in November!

These skids serve as motor protection. The factory belly pan that covers the battery is already steel. We don’t have any plans at the moment for additional battery protection.Count me in as highly interested. We have been making aluminum bumpers for Jeeps/Toyotas etc for a long time. While the bumper skin is aluminum the winch plate, frame mounts and recovery points are all steel.I see you've got Jeep bumpers. I prefer steel to aluminum for bumpers but considering the structure of the cybertruck is aluminum I guess I can't say much, LoL.
The cybertruck needs streamlined approach and departure angles in bumpers. The rear bumper is terrible and hangs down way to far. I can only assume it was made that way for air flow but for off road it will just end up getting torn apart.
I haven't found any bumpers for the cybertruck I would buy yet. The unplugged rear bumper doesn't do anything to fix the departure angle.
Does Tesla have some kind of control over what can be built for their vehicles? Or do off road companies not feel there is enough interest in real offroading parts for the cybertruck?Unfortunately we don’t have plans for Cybertruck bumpers at this time.
Our primary focus has always been skid plates.Does Tesla have some kind of control over what can be built for their vehicles? Or do off road companies not feel there is enough interest in real offroading parts for the cybertruck?
I've talked to multiple companies and there seems to be no interest in real cybertruck offroading parts.
Thanks! And yes these skid plates are definitely for the CT.Great product at a reasonable price, are you sure this is for the CT?
Glad someone refreshed this thread, I’m definitely a customer.
Love the design and on the fence as to whether I’ll order a set.The high-quality laser cut RIVAL Skid Plates are made from deep stamped 1/4-inch thick aluminum. #1 - no, it's made from nylon. It's got zero protective strength.Love the design and on the fence as to whether I’ll order a set.
Two questions:
1. Isn’t the stock Skid plate you’re flexing made of HFS which has a higher tensile strength than aluminum?
I have a Chevy ZR-2 Bison Edition and AEV did a great job creating a Boron Steel Skid Plate package for the Bison.
The Boron Steel is lighter and stronger than mild steel so I’d imagine HFS
2. What have you done,if anything, to mitigate any Galvanic corrosion between the dissimilar metal on the mounting surfaces?
As a Pilot and nearly 30 years working on aircraft galvanic is a serious issue. If you are not using rubber or Teflon washer in between your mating surfaces you will develop serious galvanic corrosion like a cancer.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
