Unfortunately what you said is 100% true. I researched a bit more, and I'm certain at this point I won't get Beast/CT this year for the reasons you mentioned unless I rush to get a rejected car. It's important for me to have the vehicle this year for tax purposes. I can't extend the hold anymore. At this point, I don't have an option but to cancel FS. Fortunately I made another Beast reservation last year. I'll have to use that to buy one (god knows when) ?

Not everyone is going through a perfect smooth sailing life my friend. Some people will be riding a roller coaster ride with Divorce, health or family issues, business investments, startups where every dollar counts, job loss, and other 100+ things. When there is an option to buy a vehicle within 10 days of order, it’s different. Life can turn upside down for many people in a matter of six months, and not everyone is obligated to share their personal reasons on why situation has changed, and even if they share, people can call BS. Just my 2 cents on a different perspective as to why things cannot be binary when people have to wait for 6+ months to buy $100K+ vehicle. Ask any real estate agent on how many people lose escrow money when closing dates are more than a month. It’s a lot! When s*** happens, it happens very quickly! Of course some people can’t make up their damn mind but that’s not the only reason people change their buying decision, and there is no obligation to disclose personal reasons in a public forum!
What exactly makes you think that? They are making new CT’s and CB’s every day in Austin TX. It not like the only pool to choose from is “ rejects”. Trolling over losing a $1k deposit over poor personal financial planning is the answer? Really?
How would Tesla know? Once it leaves the factory it's in the hands of logistics contractors for weeks or months. Tesla doesn't see it again until it reaches the delivery center which is full of gen z-ers that, if you've ever talked to, couldn't give 2 cents about your truck.
