Yes, expensive. But a built in battery, and solar panels that can charge the battery in 3.5hrs is really nice. I can see that being useful! I may consider one. Thanks.

PSA: It looks like Anker has these coolers on sale currently. A lot cheaper than when I bought mine. Haha

After 24 hours and over 1200 miles - near zero impact to range and saved dollars by not buying ice ?
Not inexpensive but it does look like a very nice long term solution! It isn’t just avoiding the dollar cost of ice that I find particularly attractive, but avoiding the logistics of having to find and buy ice and the draining, refilling, and shuffling of wet food around. And one of the big reasons I’m getting the range extender isn’t for more range but for more time in the boondocks before having to return to a supercharger. This would only help.

I have an old school ARB fridge and will be replacing it with a EcoFlow kinda same cooler as yours. I think of it a a refrigerator not a cooler. You don’t have to double ziplock bag everything because of melting ice. I do use a cooler for drinks if the fridge is full. ( the EcoFlow can make ice )
the cost is priceless when you pull a ice cream bar out on your 2 day camping trip!
No more soggy hot dog water and cheese for me.

Haha very true. ??
Even though ice is “only” $3 a bag, it quickly adds up when you loop in traveling back and forth to convenience store(s).
As long as that electric refrigerator / battery lasts for years.

How much ice would you have to buy to pay for the cooler though??

A place I go by sells small bags of ice for $7 bucks, and doesn't sell big bags. No cheap Costco or Bucee's Ice for over a hundred miles. Ton's of hunters and fisherman must be so pissed if they didn't fill up at home.

I love my electric coolers. One is a freezer and one is a fridge. Not cheap, yet it just removes another trip thing to think about. ICE.

Do any of you strap them in? I do for mine. They are heavy, but going through some whoop de doos can make them fly.

FYI - you can buy any portable fridge as your CT fridge. These can be had for much cheaper. I think mine was <$200. I use it with my Model 3 12v plug and keep it plugged in during an entire camping trip.

The powered coolers are really good when you can't keep it plugged in like bringing onto a beach or if you don't have an EV.
