No I don’t have to hold the CT squircle when using FSD. Do you have the little green square next to your blue squircle FSD icon? If so then the vision monitoring is active and you don’t have to hold the wheel. If you don’t have that then the camera is blocked or its view of you eyes is blocked. I can enter nav data on the big screen but you can’t lounge around too long interacting with display options before getting warned.you don’t have to hold the wheel on your CT FSD? I do. And I have to look forward, straight ahead the whole time. Can’t even enter navigation on the screen. It needs to be dialed down.

Incorrect.Incorrect.
You don't have to hold the wheel.
You can look at the nav screen.
You just can't look at it for long periods without glancing up.
I stand by my point. Look up and it resets the timer.Incorrect.
I said enter info into the nav screen. Not just look at it.
Just remember to glance up at the road.I am really testing my peripheral vision to have FSD on and change the music. It complains quick in my experience.
I use voice commands for much of thatI am really testing my peripheral vision to have FSD on and change the music. It complains quick in my experience.
Not to mention with the way the steering wheel is shaped you can’t use your knee to steer and look at your phone ?Driving the cybertruck killed my desire to touch my phone while driving so I think I’m good.
I don’t plan on napping either ?
Haha, mine had warning on screen along the lines of "user touching mobile device" with my phone in the charging pad, and my hand on top of it.I used FSD for OVER 30 miles past 2 days never asked me once to put my hand on steering wheel..
I think the camera does good job.. I was texting this time
I ignored the warning .. didn’t think that serious
All newer models have hands free FSD now, too. My 2022 MS has been hands free since July. This is my first Tesla, and I'm new to the whole FSD (Full Self-Driving) experience. Last week, I had a Model X loaner with the latest FSD software.
While driving the Model X in FSD mode, I found it frustrating that it constantly required me to firmly grip the steering wheel—not just lightly touch it—every time.
The Cybertruck will only prompt you if you're not paying attention to the road, which is a night-and-day difference compared to the Model X. I believe this is due to the in-cabin camera
I believe that you mean that all vehicles with FSD now have hands-free. Not all vehicles have FSD.All newer models have hands free FSD now, too. My 2022 MS has been hands free since July.
You understood my point. Hands free FSD isn't exclusive to the CT and has been available to testers since July on all vehicles.I believe that you mean that all vehicles with FSD now have hands-free. Not all vehicles have FSD.
I believe that there are still quite a few vehicles on older software without it, but that will eventually change.
