Seems like a temporary range drop. Some time next year with the gen 2 cyber cells we’ll see closer to 400 miles range. Right now, itll serve as a differentiator to sell a few remaining FS.

Understood! I didn’t configure until early June so that’s probably why!

Cyber wheels are a 3500 add on. What is the alternative? Even Tesla wouldn't sell a vehicle without tires and wheels. Right? Right?

Ebay for take offs, although they are on average around $3000-3200 with shipping and tax unless you can pick one up. Might be a better deal since you get an extra set of wheels with it. I bought take offs last week for $2500 with free shipping. Almost same price for new tires and it comes with wheels so I pulled the trigger.

Absolute waste of time for anyone who waited. I am very happy with my foundation series purchase!
Happy for everyone who got their FS, and totally agree that there was limited financial value in waiting if choosing between a FS and a Fully Optioned non-FS. I don’t think there’s much substantial debate about that.

I think the point, for me many others, is we’re waiting for a more affordable option. The out the door price is ~$102K for AWD Beast, vs ~$82K for non-FS AWD without any additional options.
$20K differences is substantial for many of us. Plus there was the possibility for state/federal incentives to drive that out the door price even lower.

Others that could afford the FS but didn’t may have been more to the right on the technology adoption curve and want to wait for the “bugs/kinks” to be worked out. I don’t mind being a guinea pig/beta tester for new tech, my reason for waiting is purely budgetary, but I appreciate the spectrum of technology adoption is different for everyone.

Do I want the badge, the power share, the accessories, FSD, premium wheels/tires/interior? Yep, absolutely. Can I afford/justify that over kids 529 plan, retirement savings, future kids weddings, etc? Nope.
But I can make the budget work for a “bare bones” non-FS AWD, and can buy the premium tires/wheels, FSD, etc over the years.

Yes pretty much, ($7k fsd) ($3500 wheels) ($2k white decor) no 2500$ Tesla store credit. Looking at 3-5k$ savings without FS badging and any thing extra I’m missing
Not much savings for me with my Cyberbeast, especially with the powershare install credit. Whew, not too upsetting for people who took the Foundation series.

This is exactly what we were expecting. So pleased I waited. Not everyone can afford nor wants one with the lot. I'm expecting the full $7500 tax credit, but it is strange that it was not confirmed.

My build comes out to about $5k less than what I got the foundation series for. How does that happen?

You will have to have no add ins other than FSD if you want to stay under the required $80k limit for the rebate once they get that straightened out
That is what will likely be required. I figured I would change to AS as my delivery nears if the $7500 get sorted out
