Same boat. Did not want white, did not get white, glad I had the option. Would’ve liked to have had the info though - that it was going to be a lesser cost non-premium option so that I could have knowingly given up that $2000.

That said, I don’t know that these cars will ever be worth anything as collectors items but I do know that scarcity matters and I suspect that our FS Tactical Gray CBs are going to be fairly rare. Or maybe not with the production ramp by the time they became available, still don’t know how many people took tactical gray over white FS CB.
Judging by the Founder's Edition Model S which had less than 100 produced and their value vs. other Model S, I don't think the CT FS will hold any weight in the future. If anything, with Teslas, the first made are less desirable later. People avoid the first model year of refreshes because of issues and upgrades that are rolled out later. On TMC many say to stay away from the first year of a model.

I'm pretty OCD and I do not think this. I sat in a few white interiors and the waviness is easily seen in the white compared to grey. The white looked cool and I had it as white for months after I confirmed the order, but I am glad I switched to grey. Just my opinion. Also glad I chose grey because it is much darker in the cabin. My preference as well.
Yes I see it every day in my driveway and I’m not sure what the “cheap“, is supposed to mean. I was nervous about the purchase before I got it because a lot of the images showed it being a sickly looking light color gray which would’ve defeated the purpose of not getting white. I have dogs and this is an off-road vehicle that I use for its intended purpose I don’t want white interior although every other Tesla we own has white interior.

I think white is great if you intend to use your cybertruck as a mall-crawler. I think white is absurd for a vehicle that’s going to be used as a truck.

Importantly, Tesla‘s white interiors hold up incredibly well! Even our oldest 2020 model Y looks brand new. It’s not about durability or difficulty in cleaning. My aversion to white pleather in my truck it’s going to show mud and dust and grime way more than I want to see from trail to next wash.

Just got an email to order my non-foundation CT. I had three early reservations and purchased a FS.

Estimated delivery OCT-NOV 2024

I dumped my two early reservations and I can't see ordering even these non-FS CTs anymore. I really wanted the basic CT that started out at $49.9k. I just don't need one like this. I still wish Ford made a BEV Maverick.

You got some time, which is good for you since you mentioned
I have black in my model Y and look forward to switching it up to White. I also unfortunately, do not qualify for the tax credit.
My wife's Model Y has black as well and I initially picked white interior. I saw it in person several times and still kept it. But saw more pictures of Grey and I changed it. Glad I did, I think the grey looks great. It's subtle and not distracting maybe unlike the white? Im not sure, but I don't even think about the trim anymore. It's crazy its $2000 more lol.

I agree. This is across the board same thing with my corvettes etc. However, over time scarcity matters. Quirks and limited options is what makes car collectors tick. If the cyber beast is ever worth anything from a collector standpoint, I probably won’t be alive for it. Right now those foundation series model S’s are just old cars at some point, they will have more value as a historical piece. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be super valuable ever.

I respect the people that want the foundation series to be a limited edition things with more value in the end. Maybe, maybe not. But I bought the foundation series for the added accessories and toys and to have it sooner.

Mmmm...no. CT is far overpriced.
Resale value plummeting (I think toward appropriate range).
Range is nowhere close to estimate which is needed for even light towing
No tax credit as of this post
Too many concessions vs originally advertised package
I'll wait for prices to normalize and keep my model Y

Then obviously you don’t need a truck. Stick with the Y….

Just got it. 79k Non Foundation second truck order emailed last night. Almost 1 year later from ordering Foundation. Some changes to what we can get but not much.

Why 325 miles even with All season tires? Isn't it 340 miles with AS tires.
