Are any of the CTruckers planning to evacuate? Any prior experience with EV’s! Not sure how crowded the Superchargers are going to be in worse case scenario! With 320-340 miles range, I may drive up to Jacksonville or beyond depending on traffic but if millions are evacuating then everything’s going to be a challenge.

Looks like a category 4 hurricane now and depending on the different model it’s between Sarasota and Hillsborough county maybe straight through Tampa, Brandon and Lakeland.

Tesla often deploys extra chargers. And chargers can't 'run out' like gas stations can run out of gas.

While lines may be an issue, the big thing is to get out of the flooding areas.

Really, it's more about where you're going. Milton is going to be tough since the probable paths is basically everywhere in Florida, despite its small size.

Are they calling for an evacuation? We're actually heading into FL this week. It was going to be Wednesday, but we may head down earlier to avoid crowds.

Will know better tomorrow afternoon. I would avoid traveling into Florida from Tuesday evening onwards. Touchdown is Wednesday, could be Category 4! If it's not important, plan for Thursday or Friday.

Huh? Examples?

Not really ever had any for the east coast.

What? Look at the weather. Orlando is going to be closed. You probably don't want to go to FL until at least the weekend.
There is a Cat 1 over land on Wednesday!

There are Superchargers ever 50 miles up I-75.
But they aren't going to be your issue, it's traffic.

Get out early or you are chancing it. It's much easier to stay in a hotel in Atl overnight, than take 24 hours to drive to ATL when everyone else is doing so.

Been there, done that!

The only supercharger I have ever seen out during a climate event has been the Marathon one in the keys.

I plan to evacuate, too (Tampa Bay). My CT is going to power my fridges and we're going with friends with the Model X.
If you are going to leave it behind, make sure that it at its highest level, which means off-road mode and preferably parked outside.

And if you have Powershare, then no issue, but if you are using the plugs, then remember they have to be enabled every 12 hours.

I just noticed that one of the Georgia Power ChargePoint sites near me now have a NACS connector. So PlugShare may be helpful.

I'm up by AL but hurrevacs are one of my worries while I wait for my RN to come up. How did you manage with a tesla in worst case crazy hurrevac traffic?
