I’m talking about the Used Foundation Series CyberTruck which is sitting at the Lexus Dealer lot… in the past (sometimes) the FSD only was for the original owner.. once the vehicle left the original owners possession FSD was de-activated

There was never such a time as FSD-capability was locked to a user. Beta access was, but the software license still stuck to the car.

This was always confusing to me because my car is ‘FSD capable’ but I choose not to turn it on, and I have the option to start and stop the subscription as I choose if I opt-in on a month-month basis.. simply the software needs to be activated. So why is it stuck with the car..?

I remember reading there was much confusion about this from many.

I have an RN11283 and got invited to order Friday 10/4 in the afternoon. Still waiting on VIN.

I got the invite on the 4th, placed the deposit, got the VIN in about a day later, Then I paid in full, just waiting for the document review and schedule a delivery date

Got my VIN! Hope delivery date doesn't come too too soon - I'm out of the country for about 10 days. Wonder if they will let my wife pick if up for me if push comes to shove...only issue is that only I'm on the loan.

did you commit to FSD back then?

Yes, I did commit to FSD back then. I'll contact Tesla during the week and I'm sure it will be straightened out.

I haven't actually purchased mine yet, but I will most likely be around $1,000 per 6 months. I have gotten quotes for 150/month, 160/month, all the way up to 220/month.

State Farm just quoted me $170/mon. I think this is the avg and as good as it gets. Now I'll requote each year bc it should come down.
