I'll be interested at the end of the day how people's end prices end up looking. The bare bones CT kinda sucks (IMHO). It really does need some add-ons that make it nicer. Some stuff can go and is probably irrelevant like the white interior... but other stuff is really nice, such as FSD and the Premium Internet. Its nice not to have to get a nickel-dime bill for connectivity each month... it reminds me of bag fees for airlines... just include it in the price so you don't get that feeling like your wallet is getting picked from monthly (can you tell I hate subscriptions?). I own big trucks and I like beefy tires... the AT tires are a must, especially if you plan on really doing off-roading with it. So at the end, my price on a CT wouldn't be too far off from what I got a Foundation Series for. This is all my opinion of course and YMMV. I'm interested where other folks final price lies.

It’s probably more than 100-120k pre tax is just a stretch for most people. $80k is up there too. $72.5k plus tax is out of reach for many as well.

The truck is worth it, and probably worth even more. But there is a literal ceiling on what a broader population can afford, that has nothing to do with needs or wants. If they made it a $200k super truck, it would sell.

30-40k Escalades are sold a year in the US. Navigators are about half that. Something like a g-wagon is about 10k a year. Even the model x is only at 25k. Not that those are comparable but it’s an example on what price alone does to demand.

The commercial side is different, and so a lot of the larger volume will probably demand on the trucks appear to that audience.

• Truck ended up being $20-$30K higher than announcement price.
• Interest rates are high.

I think it'll continue to be a solid seller, it's a great truck, but the RWD will need to come out sooner rather than later. Reservation numbers way over-stated actual demand, it was too cheap of a buy in even if the economics of the vehicle hadn't changed so drastically.

Once they get the tax credit worked out (or it goes away), you'll see an uptick in purchases, $7,500 isn't exactly throwaway money. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tesla subsidizes financing the same as other models.

I also expect model prices will start to come down, either from manufacturing efficiencies or just shaving of margin as they hit volume.

It's actually shockingly cheap for what you get. Live traffic and remote vehicle access cost more in my BMW and didn't include access to streaming media and browser. Not to mention having to pay for navigation map updates.

Because, when does it end? Do they stop here at premium connectivity or find something else to charge you $10 a month for? And then another item an additional $10 a month.

First off, they hit 30K before the non-foundation opened.

Secondly, Tesla never said they had 3 million. They said one million.

And then... They're price the trucks at 60-100% more than their reveal pricing, and 34-100% more than the average new truck.

Those prices are much, much higher than Tesla said.

On top of that, the long range model isn't released, neither is the economy model.

So of course conversion isn't going to be great.

Below is the exhaustive list. I really tried to find issues with the truck. I know a lot of folks would not care but i cared for my $120k so wanted to make sure it was flawless and that was the downfall of it. Service center was able to take care of almost all of these issues but in my mind, I had grown a distrust with the truck already. I could not digest the fact that the biggest pieces of glasses on the truck needed full replacement and this was for a brand new truck. Anyway, I hope and wish the build quality has improved from that point.
1. Left Passanger Door Misaligned.
2. Left tailgate Misaligned.
3. Left upper triangle trim piece not flushed at the front joint.
4. Left upper triangle trim piece not aligned with the rear panel.
5. Frunk panel gap mismatch at between left and right.
6. Frunk not flushed with left and right front panel.
7. Right upper triangle trim piece not flushed at the front joint.
8. Front right wheel arch minor damage (less than 3mm).
9. Rear right wheel arch minor damage (less than 10 mm).
10. Scuff mark below CyberBeast logo on tailgate.
11. Front glass interior has weird fogging patterns.
12. White interior still has black spots from handling.
13. Front windshield needed replacement due to multiple arc scratches.
14. Truck bed top mount covers are not flushed.
15. Truck bed top plastic trim on left side has bulging.
16. Left rear door interior trim is loose
17. Top rear glass side plastric trim is loose at multiple location on both sides.
18. Right rear side door has minor misaligment.
19. top roof panel back and front side has bowing and seems seal has come off and needed replacement.
20. Interior squeaking noise from drivers seat.

Yep. I'd assume that sales will over the next year drop quite a bit, perhaps some pricing will come down if inflation slows and production efficiencies increase for it as well. I'm pretty sure the truck will become a more smaller volume model like the S/X, perhaps combined numbers for a while which is fine.

The S/X need some attention again next, some size increase and platform modernization and definite redesign to compete with the likes of all the competition coming out. Y will continue to be a big hit with Juniper next year for likely another few years bankrolling most of the profits.

On the CT again, I'm not certain the range extender will come even in large volumes ever or at all. I soft expect them to cancel it and return the $5K deposits for the very small population that reserved it.

For us even on our next EV to replace our F150 hybrid, I think if the GMC Sierra EV, AT4 trim (we turned down our Denali this year) some out next year as stated, lower priced, with the NACS charging standard and its range of likely around 500 miles... we are in on that versus another CT as well. The tech in that truck (Google based) works really well now when sampled it, isn't slow like our old Hummer EV, and supercruise+ does a great job when need it... plus its just beautiful and with that large frunk, super functional.

Because it’s annoying as fuck and they can raise your prices any time. You really think they will keep that $10/month the same price forever? You ever get DIRECTV stream? Remember when it was $35/month for 160 channels? What is it now? $92/month?

What about software? Remember when you could buy Word/Adobe, paid a flat price and you had it for life?

Yes buddy, it’s insane to me to hate getting fee after fee, sub after sub, adding it all up. So I guess I am insane ?
