There is another thread on this forum where someone did attempt to trade in a Cybertruck to Tesla and they replied saying they were not taking Cybertrucks as trade-insAnyone know if you can trade in existing foundation series AWD cybertruck towards a new Cyberbeast yet? Looking to switch from AWD to Cyberbeast and trying to get that sales tax trade in credit.
That was prior to the regular CT being open to the public. There is another thread on this forum where someone did attempt to trade in a Cybertruck to Tesla and they replied saying they were not taking Cybertrucks as trade-ins
Well, I guess it doesn’t hurt to try thenThat was prior to the regular CT being open to the public.
It never didWait so non Cyberbeast doesn’t get suede trim???
I have a non Cyberbeast foundation and I have suede trim.It never did
Yeah, that guy is weird. No way any Silverado is in the same “Universe” as any Tesla…let alone a Cybertruck, smhIsn't there a Chevy Silverado forums to hang out in?
What? I didn’t get any email about wheel covers!Isn’t it interesting how we got the email our wheel covers are available the same day they discontinued Foundation series. Cowardly approach to save face. It’s comedy. Fanboys come at me. lol
I love Tesla, I own TSLA, and I own 3 Tesla's which I love. Tesla will not sell 2500 Cybertruck's per week at $80K, for an extended time. Its an awesome truck. It's probably even worth the price, and more. But the TAM for $80K vehicles is not big enough to support that volume, indefinitely. The global market for all vehicles $*)K and up is 1.3 million units. The global market for sub $80K is 10 times that. It will work for a while. I think Tesla will take market share from other luxury offerings, for a while. But levers will get pulled. Hopefully including FSD first (as I said, I own shares of TSLA), keep profit high, and add more perceived value. Maybe bump the battery size next. Then cheap leases. If they do all of these things first, they will get many FS AWD owners to upgrade to the beast they wanted all a long, with out sinking the resale/trade market for the FS. This may be enough to carry demand through Q2-25. (roughly 100,000 units)Tesla spoke about ramping production to 2500 units per week by the end of Q4.
I question whether the Cybertruck will have consumer demand at the current $80k + premium price point.
Ohhh got it, thanks for the clarification. Not on the dash like the Cyberbeast does.
Eventually you'll be able to send the truck on errands to pick up stuff. Imagine you're out in the field working and break something (I know this never happens, LOL), in the past you lose half a day running to town to get parts and supplies. Sometimes that's fun, you need the break, but others its puts you farther behind. With FSD, hopefully next year, you call Eugene down at New Holland, and ask if he has a feeder house chain, he says "you need another 2310?" Yup, I'll send Cleetus over to grab it. You get in the Tesla app and direct Cleetus to Freuhoff New Holland, in Southbury IN. While you move the cows to the south pasture, and muck out the coop. No wasted time. That's what FSD can do in a farm truck.Yeah own five. And many from the early days. My farm truck won't fall for this FSD BS. Anyone please explain the need for Farm FSD.
Farm Self Driving? ?That's what FSD can do in a farm truck.
The good news is despite all the insane tech in the Cybertruck if it follows other Tesla models the price will drop....a lot. And the market will grow. For those waiting the price will get lower and lower as Tesla gets better at making them and the price savings get pushed forward. Then I can get my second Cybertruck for half the price so I have one to drive ("my" Cybertruck actually quickly became the wife's cybertrcuks daily driver). Is the appropriate amount $0 for you? At what point will one bite? Really if Tesla delivers on original pricing no one will care about how ugly it is. They will put every truck manufacturer out of business. So buck up buttercup and pick a price.
Let's be honest, you just want the price to be. Whatever is good for you. The comments about demand and all this other stuff is let's be honest. Let's get the price down for me and that's what it is.
