Rear motor disabled - AWD

Happen to me last night in LA (I live in NorCal.) Nightmare situation. Tow truck dropped it off at Burbank and crickets from Tesla so far. Supposed to be camping this week in Mojave using the Cybertent. Slept in the rental car last night. Picked up 1 Feb, VIN 648

This is rough. Mind crapped out on way to soccer tourney with fam about an hour or two from home. 58 mph cap leaves for and insanely slow acceleration leaves for a pretty dangerous situation on CA freeways. But we made it, just slowly, with a long of horns, being cut off, and finger birds!

No service appt for 2 or 3 weeks which isn’t reasonable (especially for something like this), but one of guys in here had Good suggested to just bring it in and since it’s a dangerous situation, they could give you a loaner and repair it in 24 hrs.

I think it makes sense to just drop it off and get a loaner too. They need to recall this inverter I think.

Just want to add to the list. Dual Motor 28xx picked up mid march. Was driving it about 20 minutes ago, I heard a pop from the rear of the truck then it jerked forward a bit then entered limp mode. Truck states rear motor disabled. On 26.11. Also my cellular took a dump with all this. Have attached service alerts

I am a sub 2000 VIN and my rear motor disable notification with turtle to 65 mph happened around 6400 miles. Felt a hestitation like a broken tooth on gear type of hesitation.

Rear but it wouldn’t move. It said it might reset if I exit the vehicle, so I did. Then it shut down and locked me out. I sat on the curb for 4 hours waiting for the tow truck while pissing off the entire city of Burbank in rush hour. I tried resetting it a few times and putting it in off-road mode to try to get it out of the street. Didn’t help.

I grew up in Burbank. Surprised the cops didn’t arrest you ? they are pretty bored

Got my truck back from service. Did a walk-in. Customer service representative handled it the best way she could. Tough job. Took care of the major fault immediately and handle the rest of the issues/recalls at the scheduled service appointment two weeks out. Technician pulled the logs and found that a desaturation occurred at the rear drive inverter. Replaced and tested component. Quick turn around. About 1 business day and resolved at eleven o’clock at night. Thanks team.
