Wow thanks, that’s awesome! Is there a trick to removing the aluminum trim strip?
This was many months ago, so I wouldn't trust my memory, the Tesla Service Manual probably details it. As I recall, there are two Allen screws, one on each side accessed inside the bed. Then the aluminum strip pops off. I imagine the back edge lifts up first, but I really can't remember, it seems like it snaps into two rubbery/plastic fingers on either end that are height adjustable by rotating them before re-installing it. I put a small amount of plastic lubricant on the fingers so the trim would pop in/out easier next time, those fingers just position the trim, the retention is performed by the two Allen head screws.

At least that's as much as I recall. Anyone working on something like this for the first time should read the Service Manual and check for photos/videos online if it doesn't make sense. I can usually work on things I've never worked on because I inspect the parts to understand how they work. And then I promptly forget!

Sometimes we hit Costco, then Sam's, then wholefoods. It might be 100F in the summer heat. Sometimes random other stops get thrown in too like dinner. No worries with the electric cooler. We'll get to it when we get to it

Sometimes I walk to a grocery store on my lunch break at work, bring everything back to the truck and leave it in the sun for the rest of the day. Not an issue at all with the electric cooler.

Right now I'm on a road trip, cooler set to 0F and filled with burgers. Electric griddle in the vault, and a very small wood pellet grill, depending on what I want to plug in and fire up.

It's a game changer for me.
I agree. I purchased a 30L fridge/freezer for trips and a portable electric Ninja smoker/grill (its amazing BTW). I like your idea of leaving the fridge in the CT all the time. My fridge is lightweight and toggling the outlet on and off as needed is clever. For market trips the frunk cooler bags are great and hold more groceries than I would typically buy. Now my frunk is well organized thanks to the collapsible cooler bags custom fit for the CT frunk.

This one is intriguing because it has a piece for the tailgate too but that attaches with Velcro so I’m not so sure.

I went through two hurricanes and unprecedented rain and my bed was bone dry. It might not be “waterproof”, but I bet most of the rain or wetness will come from the bags getting wet while carrying the bags to the CT.

if you’re getting water in your bed you need to go to the SC.

With the bed being not waterproof, seems like a terrible place to keep groceries, unless you're absolutely certain about the weather. The frunk is also just a bit too small for the standard sized reusable grocery bags. I need to lift the back seats and put groceries there when I go shopping, honestly don't love it.
I grew up in the rainforest of the PNW and we put groceries in the bed without a tonneau. Heck, I didn't even know what a bed cover was! Most groceries are waterproof, even if ye olde paper bag is not. And we didn't have a truck with a back seat until I was in college.

You're a good dude for doing that.
Thanks but my part was tiny. The devastation around the area is epic, but the relief has been even more epic. So many volunteers, first responders, neighbors, FEMA (despite the rumors to the contrary) and a massive airdrop operation of national guard and private pilot helicopters in the air..….it really renews your faith in humanity. The donations have been massive, so much so that storing and distributing has become a big challenge.

I keep an electric cooler/freezer plugged in to the AC. I can toggle it on from the app while I head towards checkout. Love it.

Presumably, some of you eat food. Presumably some of you that eat, also go grocery shopping.

Please share a picture of how you organize your weekly grocery shopping in the frunk or bed.

I’ve never had a truck. Just want to see some ideas.

Thank you!

This is a pretty light Costco run, yet most of it fits in the Cyberfrunk just fine. If I have bigger items like tp or Costco sized flats of water, etc. they just go in the back seat. I have not had to use the bed for groceries so far...until I buy that 75" CyberTV that I have been eyeing...haha

I'm not too optimistic, nor do I necessarily believe people on here now... is Tesla lying?
