This was many months ago, so I wouldn't trust my memory, the Tesla Service Manual probably details it. As I recall, there are two Allen screws, one on each side accessed inside the bed. Then the aluminum strip pops off. I imagine the back edge lifts up first, but I really can't remember, it seems like it snaps into two rubbery/plastic fingers on either end that are height adjustable by rotating them before re-installing it. I put a small amount of plastic lubricant on the fingers so the trim would pop in/out easier next time, those fingers just position the trim, the retention is performed by the two Allen head screws.Wow thanks, that’s awesome! Is there a trick to removing the aluminum trim strip?
At least that's as much as I recall. Anyone working on something like this for the first time should read the Service Manual and check for photos/videos online if it doesn't make sense. I can usually work on things I've never worked on because I inspect the parts to understand how they work. And then I promptly forget!
