This is fabulous. I have a 2017 model S that I'm probably selling and now I can transfer FSD to the CT and save $100/mo (or $7000 one time). Nice! Delivery likely next week (they said ETA 10/29).

I think they mean that they will basically get 7k additional because they won't have to pay that on the CT.

Tesla values FSD at $0 right now when trade-ins are active.

I think it should’ve always been the case that unless you’re doing a private sale Tesla continues allow F to allow FSD to stay with the original purchaser especially if you’re one of us early adopters. I should have the option of choosing to get more for my car when I sell it to a third-party or Tesla without any special promotion allowing me to transfer it to my next vehicle. FSD at least on one vehicle should be my lifetime privilege.

if I wanna cash it out by selling it to somebody else I should be able to do that and currently I am but I should also be able to say no I just want to transfer this and buy a new car from you Tesla. That’s a win-win. Doesn’t cost Tesla a dime.

I ordered 10/12; got VIN 10/13. Delivery center says my truck is scheduled to arrive 10/29, so delivery will be within a couple days of that.

NEWS: As of today, the Cybertruck is now eligible for free FSD transfer until the end of 2024. The Cybertruck wasn't eligible before, but Tesla changed the rules today. This means you can transfer FSD for free to a new Model S/3/X/Y or Cybertruck if you take delivery by Dec 31, 2024.

Is there an official release from Tesla about this? I'm not saying it's not true but I want to be 100% sure before we trade in my wife's model X for a CT.

That webpage has the same information it had before it was supposedly approved for cybertrucks. Unless I'm not reading it thoroughly enough, I don't see mention of Cybertruck on there.

Same. I have not seen anything official either about this. Everybody is going off of that one Sawyer guy's Tweet and writing a ton of articles about it. Must be a slow news day.

If it is true, I'd order now in hopes of getting it by the end of the year to transfer FSD.
