I have not seen a recording for weeks and keep waiting for it to start working. I was hoping an upgrade will fix this 'bug". Maybe it's not a known bug but it is my CT. I gave up trying to see the preview from my phone.

I had a similar issue, several weeks went by with no sentry recordings. I could see a preview from my phone if I opened the app and went to the cameras, but no recordings of events when I got back to the truck. Checked all the sentry settings multiple times, toggled them on and off, still no luck.
I put in a service request through the app and an appointment was made to try and resolve the issue. A couple days after the appointment was made it started working. No software updates had taken place so my assumption is that they are able to resolve some of these issues remotely. Not sure if it will work for you but worth a shot.

That resetting did not work.
I pulled out the usb and re-inserted it.
Tried to view some recording and I see this warning: Dashcam unavailable. I replaced the original with a larger capacity USB - Buffalo. I need to find the original one and see if that will work. I will format the Buffalo USB on a PC and see if that works. Stay tuned.

It was the USB stick. The original one works.
Still not Sentry Mode Recording Previews or I don't have any recordings since I just inserted the usb stick.

I've only ever received previews for alarms on the app on any of my Teslas.

Looking at TMC, this looks to be the case for all.

USB was the issue. But I still can’t see previews from my phone.

This only appears when a vehicle alarm is triggered, as mention in the post above yours. Ordinary sentry recordings are not viewable on the Tesla mobile app. Only recordings taken during vehicle alarm activity. The name of this in the app should be updated from sentry to alarm recordings, imo

I see. I walked up to my car without my phone and looked through the window to see the owl on the display. I returned with my phone to gain access inside and saw myself looking in - my hair was a mess. There was no alarm that was triggered so therefore I won’t see the preview on my phone. Got it.

Now I need to trigger the alarm which I never heard before. How do I turn it off when it’s triggered?

Is there a way to set the alarm off remotely?

im not sure about setting it off remotely, however I’ve accidentally triggered it on my model 3 a few times by leaving the window down and walking up without my phone when and opening the door from the inside push button.

i set off the alarm on my cybertruck at the dump when I got out to unload a bed full of debris. My phone was in my pocket and out of reach from the cab enough for the vehicle to lock. The movement and shaking of the entire vehicle from jumping around in the bed set it off. It’s quite… alarming (haha) as the stereo blares Bach classical music at full volume. From all speakers. you can disarm by opening a door with your phone in your pocket or manually unlocking it with the app. This event is viewable from my mobile app.

I bought the $350 Tesla 1TB Drive for the CT and it worked maybe 5% of the time...have a service apt for other stuff so added that on the list - if it's not going to work I dont really need 1TB/$350 worth of paperweight - so we'll see what they say.
