Going on a trip and can’t leave the car plugged in. Silly question but if it’s charged up to 80% before we go, will it be out of charge when we get back? Anything to know or keep in mind?

As long as you turn off sentry mode you will be fine. I leave my truck in the airport parking lot for days at a time.
Do not check the app, don’t wake it up. You will lose about 1% a day, so in 5 days you should be down about 5% total.

I left mine for 4 days at 80% and found it at 63%; turned sentry off. Did open the app occasionally. I have the Beast. You will be good.

I turned off Sentry at home and unplugged it as an experiment and lost about 1-2% in a day. So this seems correct.

My sentry is set to “off at home” but is there an additional step or that’s it?

If your truck is in a secure location, you can choose to “power off” the truck under “Safety.” Scroll all the way down. My sequence is making sure heated/ventilated seats are off, turn off HVAC, then go to safety, power off, step out of vehicle and walk away lock then I kill my app on my phone.

This is not great. Is the cabin overheat mode off too? I’ve left my AWD at the airport for 7 days and lost 3-4%.

I have an X and Cybertruck and the Cybertruck has significantly more phantom drain. The X barely has any. I'm sure it'll be fixed eventually but the 1%/day rule does not apply to the cybertruck in my experience.

I believe I had overheat protection on. I now set it at 100 degrees.
Cabin overheat protection isn’t there to protect the truck upholstery or electronics, it’s there to protect forgotten children and pets. Definitely don’t use it when you don’t have that risk.

Using it will significantly preserve the newness of your interior. My Model 3 is pristine after 5 years because of this. Heat intrinsically breaks down materials, especially petrol based.

Don’t forget the battery thermal system is always on.. weather will have an effect.

Seeing as it is ‘winter’ in some states and not all winters are the same.. I get to wear short all year long.. even in ‘winter’

How insulated is your garage…? Is it parked outside?… yadda yadda
