How did you get the Loveland appointment? I might swing by there this coming weekend and see if I can speed the light bar process up.

Aurora is a much bigger SC and you might have better luck getting it installed there.

Scheduled a service appointment this past Friday for a few minor panel alignment issues and added a task for the light bar. It was a bit of a Hail Mary , but when I went in for my appointment today, I asked if they were installing the light bar. They informed me that they had it in stock and had planned to install it. However, they didn’t connect the wires. Apparently, they were still using the old process, where instead of soldering the wires and then disconnecting the connector they didn’t connect at all and left the wire package in my cup holder. So, I’ll have to take care of that this week. I’ve attached a picture of the light bar.

Can you make a video of the connection process?

I believe that is the current way of doing this, not only did they not soldier the wires, but they also disconnected the B pillar harness on mine. I ordered some water proof 3 prong harnesses, so I could easier discount at the roof(also to easily test a theory about connecting it to the frunk connector, so I could use it in non-off road, but it works like that on the roof). But the delivery of the harness wasn’t expected until 7pm. And I wanted at 2, so I soldiered them, I’m impatient, hence the foundation model.

Hiding the wire is easy, take a plastic tool(or screw driver if you’re brave) and just shove the wire under the light, around the windshield. See my second image

How did you remove the B-pillar? my SC said they connected the wires on top and I had to get into the B-pillar myself.

So here is how I got the light bar. Remember I had no notifications or emails that it was ready.
1. Used app to create service appointment, don’t remember what category it was for, I think there was one for install accessories. Might have just been other.
2. In the description, just wrote install light bar for CyberBeast.
3. Scheduled for as soon as possible. (I did not think this would work)
4. They contacted back and said they didn’t have one ready, but would order it and rescheduled me for the end of October (this was around the 12th).
5. Last night texted again, and made sure it was available before my appointment today, they said it was ready, and offered me to drive around a new Model X while I waited. (Let my wife drive and she loved it) 2 1/2 hours later, it was installed.

Was able to hide the wire around the glad instead of up and over.

Also I haven’t been able to activate the light bar yet. Tried the instructions with the Drive, Outlet on, park, with no luck. Not sure how long it takes to “verify”

Use a plastic tool to pop off the plastic around the button that opens the door. Then behind that there is a 10mm bolt, remove that. Then the B-pillar insert will swing up and out, there are wires connected at the top, so just carefully lift it without removing it. Also very important: roll down the windows and open the rear door, and be sure not to close it while the insert is out, it could shatter that thing. I almost did that.

Not every state.
CA, PA, VA, and WV require covers.
and Maryland, at least. In fact, most states don't even allow a light at all IIRC.

So I'm curious how the is worded in these states. What defines an off-road light. What prevents a car manufacturer from having day time running lights on the roof? I see trucks with cab markers, most of them amber in color, but some I see are white. At 1% brightness, I classify this light bar as a cab marker, or daytime running light. I know there are actual measurements for the how high a headlight has to be off the ground, but not sure if there are maximum heights. Most laws just say at x feet from the car, the beam has to be x feet off the ground, and no higher(to prevent blinding on coming traffic).

I'm not from California but, there law popped up first...

California Vehicle Code 25950 states that headlights must be installed at a height of not more than 54 inches but not less than 22 inches. Section 25950 additionally mandates that all front lights should be in the white or yellow color spectrum. This color of light is sufficient to illuminate a driver’s front view.

Cybertruck is about 75" tall.

This is a really good source but always check your state's actual codes.

Is there a way to tint the lightbar so that maybe it isn't so obviously uncovered? Asking for a friend.

That is California, which is so highly regulated I'd never be able to live in that state., but the law states "Headlights" must be installed at a height. A light bar could be classified as a marker light or a DRL. and the only thing I could find for those regulations in California by searching "California Vehicle Code 25950" was that it must be in the white to yellow color range.
