OK, OK. I do have a carrying box that I do plan to use as situations warrant. BUT. My first use of these crossbars, depending on when they come in, is for mounting some LED light strips to get my truck going with some holiday style. I'm thinking of mounting the light strips on the underside of the crossbars. Has anyone taken a crack yet and can share picks of lights either on top of, below, or wrapped around crossbars?

I've seen a few examples in the Rivian forums. But those are definitely not Cybertrucks.

It's not wrong, just different haha!!

Were you going to power from the rear outlets or the 48v roof feed?

Hmm....I guess the 48v would be cleaner but might be trickier to find lights or require some kind of transformer. Was going to keep it simple and just plug into the bed outlets but open to ideas if someone has found a 48v tap/light set.

This would be awesome. Please follow up. Ar the crossbars immediately available?

I ordered them, let's see. I did see a fellow CT driving around yesterday with four bars mounted. Looked pretty different, that's for sure. I just went with a pair.

Great idea. Although Jewish I always like some Christmas cheer. Alternating Red/Green but red will be slightly illegal. I will have this project done this weekend and post some pics

Guess I better get moving on figuring out my lights then.

Thank you Amazon Prime!
You might be ok with Thanksgiving week next week. Plenty of time to try all sorts of things.

And right now, it's extended returns at Amazon, haha!!

yeah, I'm thinking I probably need to avoid using red or blue for that reason. Maybe orange, green, purple and/or white? Programmable LED strips is what I'm thinking but please do persuade me otherwise.

This is what Gemini is giving me for "A Cybertruck covered in holiday lights driving in new york city". Must be the new CyberSUV or CyberVan and that's one way to make sure the top light bar is legal? I guess?

Tesla Cybertruck Is it wrong to order crossbars to run LED holiday lights? 1000008008

AND one thing I wonder because the details aren't ever talked about.... these are from CTmods and I even did a video on this little detail but I can't speak to the Tesla ones:
One side of the rails have rubber pads to keep strapped cargo secure but the other side of the rails have the T-slot. So I wonder about your lights - rubber side of the rail up, T-slot down: would the T-slot be the perfect place to slide your light strip and not be seen? I might do this just to give the bed more light in general ?
