It looks like this update will just be a basic update for FSD. If so, I hope it fixes the sloppy FSD left turns.

Updating now. Will take it for a drive in a bit. Have had MANY completely hands free drives from parking space to parking space lately. Some hours long through rural, highway and urban spaces. It has been FAR more reliable and capable than my MY or M3 on 12.5.4.2

Mine is downloading now. The weird thing I found is that it did not alert me in my iPhone to tell me there was a new update and if I wanted to install it. It just starting installing it on its own.

I have no problem with that, but if I had to go somewhere right now, I wouldn’t be able to drive it until it is complete.

Ive been using FSD daily so I hope it addresses the flaws in the previous version.

"Installing" or "downloading"? It will download on its own, then ask for permission to install.

Texas. Non FS AWD. 49xxx vin. No updates. Picked Nov 11th with 30-day FSD trial, which was never available. Wondering if they will extend my trial since I didn't have a chance to try it....

You are right. I just happen to log into my app when it said it was downloading and mistaken it as installing.
I only asked because I thought the same thing on a previous download and was also taken back until I figured it out.

Miracle updates don't really happen. That's why I'm never on the edge of my seat, or getting bent out of shape, when everyone else is getting an update, and it's not available to me yet. Probably the closest I've come, was the Cybertruck update that activated the locking differentials.

Even the updates with fundemental improvements in FSD also come with a step back in some respects, I'm just happy that the vehicles functionality, and FSD behavior, is constantly getting better over time.

The rate of improvement may seem slow at times, but I think in hindsight it looks very fast. We didn't buy our first Tesla until a little less than seven years ago, and the improvements since then are nothing short of astounding, both in the vehicles features, performance and functionality, and especially with the abilities of Autopilot/FSD (and the rate of improvement seem to be accelerating in the last year).
