…I never watched Lord Of The Rings

If you kept watching they show how Tesla improved it afterwards, and how well it did in tough offroad. They even said no one does updates and the app better than Tesla.

Its like you stopped watching Lord of the Rings after Boromir died and never saw the whole story.

Minor point here, but no wheel wells is not a pro? Its simply less space. The specs on bed sizes are the minimums, so the inside of the wheel wells is what is provided for the width. Its not a lot of extra space, but you can fit gas cans, coolers, toolboxes in front and behind the wheel wells. The F150 and Cybertruck bed widths are 0.4" apart based on the stats I can find. They all aim to fit 8x4 plywood with tailgate down if needed.

Exactly! That’s what I meant. Not having wheel wells is a huge pro. They didn’t even mention that. Instead he talks about angular edges!!

Sorry I shouldn't have used a question mark in my statement. I feel providing the space in front and behind the wheel wells is a pro, therefore the CTs bed is inferior to standard trucks. Its a tiny difference, it wouldn't be a factor in deciding between 2 vehicles for me.

Look at the voids behind the sidewalls. They could definitely add in some storage boxes. I can imagine a jack, fire extinguisher, and lots of hand tools could be stored in those walls. Maybe the next version or aftermarket solutions can address this.

I see what you mean. I don’t have exact dimensions of CT vs ICE bed floor space dimensions, but based on what other members mentioned, CT bed floor space is more than traditional truck floor space with wheel wells. Of course if there is an opportunity to add more storage anywhere in the bed, it’s always welcome. Never say no to less storage! ?

One of the things I struggled with R1T is to not able to use the entire bed space. For example - I wanted to buy portable 125 gallon tank but it wouldn’t fit in the bed because of the wheel wells. I ended up renting a trailer tank. Not having wheels wells obstructing the cargo is a huge plus IMO!

YouTubers want to appear unbiased feeding both sides so that both sides argue & fight over minute things-it upticks his views. I am not a truck person but I want a Cybertruck which is bit smaller-and don't watch/give a damn of any body else opinion.

Follow the money. Most of their content and viewers are ICE. In one of the early CT review the son said point blank they can’t say anything good about the CT because their audience will call them traitors (and bye bye eyeball income).

I don’t watch them and never click on anything they make. They are biased.

Every youtube channel has a plan with the Cybertruck.
1. Make initial video about how crazy it is
2. Make a few videos on how it is living with it
3. Make video on why you are getting rid of it

They all do it. It's all for clicks.

This happened also with the Apple Vision Pro, a ton of "I bought Vision Pro!!! ZOMG!!" vids and then a few weeks later "Why I returned my Vision Pros :(". Click farming has become an international sport. Caveat Emptor, Caveat Spectator.

lol so true. CT is indeed a very practical truck with great utility. It’s unfortunate how it gets perceived with these videos. These YouTubers pretend to represent the entire community of Truck owners. Whatever they say is just their opinion and their priorities. Everyone has different needs!

TFL is getting a bad rap here. I follow a lot of their channels and my son knows these guys personally.

The TFL truck is going to crap on the CT as a truck because they are all around comparing it to all-things truck which includes things like towing. It’s no secret that towing big heavy things long distances in the CT sucks. That’s why I kept my Ford trucks. But they did say fun things about it. I hate to say it but I agreed with a lot that Andre said. He was fair and honest. They actually kept the truck a lot longer than most of their other vehicles. They usually review then trade them in rather quickly for what is next.

If you want more EV positive stuff from them, go to thier EV channel. They will compare the different EV vehicles and be more friendly there. But they are comparing truck to truck and the CT as an all around truck has a lot of work to do. Yeah I drive my CT 80% more than my Fords… so much so I have had to trickle charge my Fords batteries because they die from non-use. The CT is just fun and bad ass. But when I have a job to do (tow), I almost always pull out the diesel. Just calling in a spade a spade here.

uhmm. I graduated highschool in ‘93

I just don’t like that genre of movies. Just like some don’t like CyberTruck.
I’m just playing! ?. I figured as much. If you are Gen-Z and can afford the truck, I’d be impressed. I think there is a 16yo kid around here who owns one from a YOLO Nvidia investment.

I remember seeing one in the parking lot of the highschool near my brothers house… in the student parking lot, back in April/May…

Oh no! They have an opinion, call the Tesla police.
The thing is they have bashed other Teslas (and evs in general) for years before they bought their CT. So you know they didn’t buy it because they liked Tesla. They bought it so they could validate their viewers’ hate. They get a lot of clicks for playing this role. And it’s a bit disingenuous. They certainly aren’t the only ones who play that game.
