Agreed! $108k is a steal, these bad boys will be fetching at least $200k in a couple of years once the regular consumers figures out nothing compares to this.

The interior and frunk space alone is class leading. Let’s no even talk about how easy it is to access the bed!

For safety reasons, I don't actually drive mine. I have it mounted in a hermetically sealed glass box in the living room on a slowly rotating pedestal. Dim lighting on it, as I've read that regular strength photons will damage the steel.

I sneezed once and thought I heard something fall off. So now I don't go in the living room anymore.
whoa... you take the chance rotating it?

Go to any forum specific to any vehicle. The majority of posts are about problems with the vehicle. Its a great way to get help troubleshooting a problem with a car or truck. When my Silverado was having steering column issues, I went to one of the forums dedicated to that truck and then had to go to the year / model section to get feedback. Guess what, there were many that had the same issue and helped me identify the issue, the expected fix, and expected cost. It gave piece of mind. Of course mixed in are all the comments about the truck being great or the truck being a piece of sh!t. Those comments are not helpful.. you just sort of have to pass over them.

Point being, over time if this is like most other vehicle forums, you will see more and more posts about specific issues and people trying to understand if it is 1) an actual issue or normal operating behavior (most of the posts about noise - as in...is it normal sound or not). 2) expectations and experiences regarding fixes and time to fix - this one is important and also helpful because the vehicle is so new so you can help set expectations with your local service center and also know what is in warranty and what may not be. 3) Is it a minor DYI item that I can fix myself without a trip to an SC or 4) is the issue I am having a pre-cursor to a bigger issue down the road (this is the one everyone fears, but there is not really enough data out there to know if there are any boogy men waiting to get you in your truck).

Consider yourself lucky if you have never gone to a forum specific to your vehicle before. You will walk away certain you have just bought a piece of garbage, or God forbid you do it before you buy that vehicle, you will most certainly not purchase it. Ignorance is bliss.
I think you kind of missed the funny in his/her post.
Of course all you said is true buuut you get an unusual amount of “Extra” on these CT or maybe Tesla forums in general. And I suspect it does have to do with the doom and gloom CT haters people feeding it to owners and buyers so they panic if they hear a noise ..I’m working in my garage and hear my truck make like an unlocking door sound sometimes. Am I going to post and panic with my vin # or am I just going to use common sense and say”maaa its a car settling? I don’t think you have read to many owners saying negative things to people who generally come for advice that is on the level. When you read the 200th tax credit thread or Tesla trucks are going to go under thread. My personal fav is “I’m waiting for tax credit ,30k truck to come, not a buyer on the first year, Jesus to come back! It’s time to be a little sarcastic and have some fun with it
I’m glad I’ve noticed a little loosen up and others recognizing and calling it out here lately.
The post is funny and true

When people have a bad experience, they post about it, the more they pay the less bad the experience has to be to complain about it(justifiably). People also sometimes post when having an absolutely great experience, but not always. So you end up with a lot more negative than positive. Think about an amazing experience you had at a place and thought, “this is amazing, I’m going to leave a review” then just never got around to it.

Think of your favorite restaurant, go read the reviews, you’ll be like I e never had that issue, that’s never happened to me.

I know it was a humorous post. However; I also sort of read into it a bit that the poster was surprised to see negativity withing the forum. I was only trying to point out that it IS normal to see that stuff in a forum dedicated to a vehicle. Unlike some other forum heros who say that every single thing posted relating to an issue was done so for the purpose of spreading FUD rather than legitimately seeking help. And yes hero, when you come along to refute me, I am fully aware of the fact that there is a ton of FUD out there and in here. My news feeds show me all the BS news including the most recent $34K repair bill due to a pothole...

This screenshot is from the Chevy enthusiast forum - just the first page for the latest Silverado's. looks like almost all posts are about issues... obviously it gets worse the further back in model year you go.

So don't be surprised in 5 years if this is what more posts look like here... people seeking help with issues. It's "normal". But I can also say w/o a doubt it won't look as bad as a Chevy forum LOL.

I checked my truck today. Nothing bad happened.

I’ll check again tomorrow and let you know my findings. If I find no problems I’ll start checking hourly.

Just follow the trip planner.
If you are staying overnight, it's always better to charge before you go to bed instead of waiting until morning (especially don't park overnight with less than 20%, preferable more if its cold out)

just run it and say " I did pay 108k for one of the most sophisticated trucks in the world more capable than anything else and it should be fine." I am going with the later but for those of you who post positives, thanks for those.
a little over 7 months I have 22,000+ miles and nothing exploded, fell off, broke, or failed. I did have one of the bed lights loose about 8" and they replace that under warranty. Don't worry about it, drive it and enjoy it. It is hard not to!

My only doom and gloom has come from exterior sources. People yelling, flipping me off and serving head on.
