Yup, I called my internet provider and they were having issues. Speedtest reported 1 meg speed (ugh). But later it got up to 20 meg and it finished downloading. It installed and I used it driving 11 miles to work this morning.

Like others said, it is a big improvement. Only had to nudge it one time, and no interventions (normally 1-2).

I am off work at noon until Jan 2. Will take it to all my "intervention" spots and see if it is better.

I have 2g fiber with a dedicated AP over top the truck, it downloads updates in a few minutes. 20 meg would feel like dial-up to me.

It really should.

Downloaded and installed this morning. Gave it a try on my commute. But, unfortunately, it was going some route I don't take... maybe faster? Anyway, I didn't have time to experiment with that.

1. Police had a lane blocked so I disengaged to give them more clearance.
2. There's a really funky off ramp that starts and then skips and then... It's just weird. I disengaged to do that manually.
3. There is a place where there are two right on-ramps to the road I need to get on. The right lane is typically used for people getting on the interstate and immediately off at the first exit (not really getting on the interstate). Anyway, Fluffy tried to get in that rightmost lane despite the fact that I have maybe 200 yards to get on the interstate and over 2 lanes to the left... in heavy traffic. So, I disengaged to stay in the leftmost righthand turn lane. Then, I re-engaged and Fluffy merged on over and then over again.

Overall, to this still-nervous guy, it's pretty darn good. Fluffy also started going into a parking spot at work. But, the parking lot is about a quarter mile... and I walk out the far exit so ... I need to tell it to park further in and not up by the normal exit.

Still, good. I'll give Fluffy free reins on the way home. I have a feeling she won't find my driveway though.

I installed it this morning.

I did my first commute into work and I can say 13.2.1 is a huge improvement. On the way in I'll usually need to disengage at least 2 to 4 times. This first drive was zero. I typically also need to hit the accelerator 5 to 10 times, this drive was once.

On rural roads with no signage, I no longer need to press the accelerator to keep the 55 mph speed. ?

Zero hard braking. It stops and and slows where I would choose to do so, maybe even a bit sooner than I would, which is not a bad thing.

On the way home, I'm very curious to see if my common disengagement points are gone.
what profile are you using? chill, hurry?

On the way to work, I used hurry.

On the way home, I used chill and it was just as good. It chose to go 1-2 mph under the speed limit in chill, and had more following type behavior.

My Beast updated last night. Test drive this morning was smooth with no interruptions (I'm rural so connectivity drops out repeatedly in certain spots). I need to do much more testing before I give it a big thumbs up.

BUT my biggest hope - getting my Apple Watch setup as a keycard was dashed as my watch says "Vehicle Software 2024.44.25+ required". That is a different fork than the Cybertruck so I guess no AppleWatch keycard for Christmas...

To each there own but 13 is just like 12, worthless to me and not trusted. Turns right on red when there’s a sign. Doesn’t slow down when the speed limit drops. 2 tickets so far. Damn near hit a median and a car on 2 left turns. I let the median go and didn’t hit. I interrupted on the car, no prompt for feedback. The % offset is dumb. I live by 9 your fine, 10 your mine. Give me relative offsets. The AI shouldn’t just be about the road. Learn my driving style and then you don’t need the offsets. Plus it is way too aggressive coming up on slow and/or stopped cars. Makes you look like a jerk. I do that driving myself.

I just did 2 more drives on different routes and it was really good. Only once did I hit the pedal and that was when it was hesitant to go on an unprotected left on a green while waiting for oncoming traffic. It was having a hard time finding a gap. A christmas crazy shopper was behind me so I just pushed it.

I have it on hurry full time and it seems to really matter on the freeway. It goes fast and passes aggressively. Not sure if I will keep it on hurry yet I need more highway time with it.

I tried it out this morning. Overall a much smoother drive but it's still absolutely terrible at choosing the correct lane to be in. It spent a decent amount of time today cruising in the dedicated left turn lane! It knew that it had to turn right in a couple blocks too. After about a block it got out of the left turn lane and went to the middle lane (really the left of two normal lanes) and stayed there way too long before freaking out trying to get to the right lane at the last minute. Almost missed the turn because it never seems to anticipate what lane it needs to be in for upcoming turns. That problem is no better than it was in 12.x

I am actually impressed by FSD v13. I have been using FSD since v10. Now I don't have to tap gas pedal or disengage in most situations.

It'd be really helpful if y'all can indicate which mode, chill, hurry.
