Told you , she’s the moderator there ?
She been moderating sincs dial up AOL
No, I didn't moderate any BBS or on AOL, tho I had friends who did. I did make an icon set for communities on MSN, though. I mostly read newsgroups and downloaded mod music and later hung out on EFNet.

I moderate a couple servers on Discord and have forums in the past but it mostly sucks as a job.

Ahhh, good ol' BBS's! I hosted a BBS back in the day called "Wraith's Place" but then shut it down because I had too much Warez being shared. I truly loved BBS's and would spend so many of my nights dialing into them and downloading stuff with my brand new 14.4kbps modem.

I remember when I purchased a 10mb hard drive card for my 8086 PC at Computerland, $995. Most people where still using 360K floppies. The salesman shook my hand and congratulated me on buying the last hard drive I would ever need in my life. ?

Now if EV battery capabilities could just follow Moore's Law.

lol, I can definitely relate. I bought my 486 computer at Radio Shack with a 40mb hard drive and my friends brought their games to my house to play it on my brand new VGA monitor. There games played so fast with my processor that some were unplayable. My friends stated that my processor is going to last ages at that speed and so much HD space. HAHHA

When I think about how much money I have wasted on stupid incremental upgrades instead of buying stocks such as Microsoft like others did (@HaulingAss comes to mind) it makes me ill. A lesson I have learned late in life but am trying to impress upon my children, now.

That was the hardest part about buying the CT. Should I buy it now, or put the purchase off a few years and buy more TSLA stock. The key factor in my decision was my age (I just retired) and enjoying it now. Though, the last couple of weeks it looks like more stock might have been the correct answer, LOL.

Reddit is a cesspool for pretty much anything but technical information at this point. Even for that I will typically only use google to find those relevant threads.

Can't blame the moderators for the state of the sub. The CT sub on Reddit was formerly a place for enthusiasts to share the tiny bits of nuggets that we got in the 4 years before the pre-delivery event. Post-delivery event, the place got overwhelmed by haters and it was impossible to share anything without toxicity. Even the standard Tesla subs are dead because it's full of people that hate Tesla/Elon. Reddit as a whole has become a dangerously radicalized community. There was a post on/r/pics that showed graffiti saying "[redrum] Elon", thousands of upvotes, hundreds of comments promoting the idea, and was up for hours before I'm assuming it was finally taken down.

I don't blame the CT and Tesla sub moderators for the state of Reddit.

In case you are unaware, most of the Tesla hate shared online is not even real, it's driven by Tesla hate bots funded by monied interests who would like to bring Tesla down. Their goal is invite others, real humans, to jump onboard and grow the "movement". Most people are starting to see through the BS, but it still works on the dumbest 15-30% of the Internet.
