Watch closely, when Elon waves his hand, it dropped the glass and popped the door. Now the white dots though, is that for override you guys think? Whats everyones thoughts

I'm loving all the theory!

Oh, yeah, you can see the confirmation light on the little oval at the bottom of the pillar.

I am wondering if those lights are an override button of some sort. I hope there is a way to override that / turn off auto pop doors for safety reasons. Or, driver door only.

Yeah, from the app.

The demo on of the door sensors were like those thumbprint scanners on phones. So you can use a card, proximity, leave it unlocked, leave it locked, etc. I wonder if they will use biometerics or not as an option.

While he and Franz were talking you can see the door pop open 1/4 of an inch and close itself 2-3 times.
Well spotted. The no door handles thing seems like more gimmicky, over engineered stuff from Tesla, like the gullwing doors on model x.

My guess and hope for production is that the doors, frunk, tailgate, and ramp are electro-mechanical like the Model X; with facial recognition as another credential.

I had a dream that I was in a war zone with my CT and I got out to stealthly look around. I would use a combination of conversational vocal commands, hand gestures, body language, and other non-verbal language to tell it to provide cover, ground support, reconnaissance, and retrieval. Some day perhaps. :D

At 2:37+, even from a distance, you can see the door (which was cracked open in the closeup) close automatically, the reflections in the windows shift.

Seems like the door has a physical press which you see Elon use when he gets in. It's similar to how you open a microwave door.
