Then you can set it to only do it on command. You can give the command by app, touch, phone swipe, or card swipe. Only the touch is new.

Well spotted. The no door handles thing seems like more gimmicky, over engineered stuff from Tesla, like the gullwing doors on model x.
I thought the same until I've had a Tesla for awhile. I really like the MS self presenting door handles - the CT with a simpler mechanism takes the same principle to the next level. I don't like everything about the MS, but I am so used to not locking or unlocking the car, no ignition or power button and turning it on by stepping on the brake petal that when I go to any of our other cars I realize how much I like those little convivences.

Don't you think Franz could open the both doors from the opposite side? He came first to the passenger door.

I'm loving all the theory!

Your eye sight is much better than mine! đź‘€!! It appears to be a push button to me on the front and rear window pillars indicated by the white light.

You don't have to sit down to press the button "unlock" on the door.
You’re right. He’s total opening the door across this seemingly massive vehicle while he’s still outside across it. See what you want.

Even in my old Toyota on both front doors there are buttons that unlock all doors. In the CT (without door handles) the unlocking means activating opening.

As it currently stands, I think CT's door operation is similar to the Ford Mach-E.

If it works like the Model X, it will open enough for you to get in without touching the door.
