I like that the range competition seems to be picking up a little. humans always want more for less. Maybe these battery manufacturing cost reduction milestones will eventually lead to improved range.
With how weird Tesla has gotten, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just sit on low volume FS CTs with next to zero communication to the world or the SC people. It’s such a stupid move because they are losing the new model sales momentum.
At this point it looks like they are going to milk every reservation for the FS limited edition. Why not, right? Sure try to get as much as you can when you dumped so much into getting the truck produced, but Tesla and the CT are having some very bad publicity and sales are slowing on other...
Yep, and when they revise it will be like the early Y orders where it only went to folks that also bought FSD. So it might go to $80k and only folks that buy fsd. Then it will eventually open to everyone at $80k. Then 5 years from now once a lot of other trucks are on the market and they are...
There isn’t a huge market for people that can afford a $110k+ vehicle. I stopped keeping track but they were very quickly moving through the reservations and the order rate was pretty low even for the very early reservations. It will all depend on how much they ramp up production. They could...
A guy at my office has a very early vin. I think he got his in March and hadn’t had any issues. I wonder if they were being more cautious before the ramp up.
I really really hope all this early repair data is making it back to the manufacturing team (who’s boss just quit) so they can actually fix this in production. Does anyone know what teslas process is like for ensuring these common problems get fixed in manufacturing?
Note, this isn’t about giving Elon money. This is about giving Elon back majority control so he feels like he has the power needed to steer the company after he blew all his shares with the mistake of buying Twitter. That’s it. So the question is do the shareholders take the hit for elons...
Trucks make up something like 3x the next vehicle type in sales in the U.S. and Tesla has many factories making the 3 and Y with huge volume production. And Tesla is learning a big lesson right now with over production and economic swings. I don’t personally see why they would be eager to ramp...
