that is crazy looking. It is super bright in stock form, i can't imagine what this would look like when the sun hits it right.
If you have ever been blinded by a side rear view mirror, as I have, you might think this is a terrible idea. With SO MUCH flat surface I fear this is going to cause accidents, or at a minimum people blaming a polished Cybertruck even if it was not the cause. They might even ban this process and even the high mirror wraps, especially when there are millions on the road.

On another note, what is the finger print situation? Untreated pretty sure they will show, might be easier to clean though.

Sorry for the downer message, but not knowing the cost, this might lead to having to wrap the CT or refinish closer to original, so could end up being very expensive.

Looks amazing! This is definitely not legal though. If it were, then you would see a lot more fully chrome-plated vehicles driving around.

I doubt it's illegal. The sun is way brighter, you just look away when needed. They can't outlaw the sun, right? When you're driving into the blinding evening sun, you do your best to not look at it directly. It really is that simple. After all, a fully polished CT isn't brighter than the sun, is it? It's just reflecting the suns' light, not augmenting it. Relax, people, just look away.

I believe they are using buffing wheels with nylon cords infused with extremely fine aluminum oxide or silicon carbide grit of 800 to 1000 grit. I have a few in my shop to experiment with.

this has been my intention from the start.
Would @ProtectaClear go over the top or some other type of graphene or ceramic coating?

Tell me you've never used a buffing wheel without telling me you've never used a buffing wheel
Actually... I've used my buffer for years (even painted and prepped a car) and never thought eye protection was needed. I'm sure it isn't a bad idea but I never got any polish or buffing compound on me. It sticks to the wheel pretty good.

ProtectaClear would definitely protect this finish. I was wondering how they planned to protect this finish as it is going to show every blemish more than the original finish.
