I tried it on Tuesday by following the instructions. Here are pictures before (after power washing)

I used 3/4 bottle for two coatings. After rinsing completely with power wash. I still found a lot of touch spots. They have been there for long time since I got the CT nearly two years ago.

Yesterday (Wednesday), I tied it again, two coatings on those tough spots, using the remaining 1/4 bottle. Then it looks great as shown below:

However, I still see a very large spot on the driver door, no idea how I got it in the first place. Any suggestion? Maybe I should try it again today? I ordered three bottles.

Hi, Please contact me on private chat. I have a few questions. As we have introduced CYBERBRITE, there have been a few changes to made for the first time application. I was unaware of some of the issues that might occur during application. I have seen this exact problem on another truck. We solved the issue by changing application instructions and by using 99% isopropyl alcohol. (available Amazon). I believe that it is a result of the Cyberbrite not contacting the stainless due to unrealized coatings that may have been applied. Here are the updated application instructions. Any spots that remain should be first tipped with the 99% alcohol followed by re-applying CYBERBRITE.

CYBERBRITE APPLICATION
INITIAL CLEANING

Your Cybertruck must be thoroughly cleaned before applying CYBERBRITE. Home hand wash with mild detergent or pay pressure wand car wash, followed by pressure rinsing and drying. De-mineralized water offers better results. Drive-through brush car washes work great but should be used only at the owner’s discretion. The least expensive drive-through option provides all the necessary cleaning and drying.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
It is important to apply CYBERBRITE in a shaded area out of direct sunlight. The temperature should be above 45°F (7°C).

APPLICATION PRE-TREATMENT
CYBERBRITE must directly contact the oxidized stainless steel to de-stain and passivate properly. Any coatings, direct or indirect, must be removed prior to use. For ceramic or other applied surface protection coatings, consult the manufacturer for removal processes.
Car wash water-beading chemicals (waxes), hand-applied waterless washes, or glass cleaners may leave a film that can build up over time. Washing may not remove all remaining residue.
If you have concerns about possible surface residue, wipe down the stainless steel surface with a solution of 99% isopropyl alcohol, available on Amazon, before CYBERBRITE application. CYBERBRITE treated surfaces will not prevent fingerprints. 99% isopropyl alcohol is great for removing fingerprints.

FIRST-TIME APPLICATION
First-time application of CYBERBRITE requires a minimum of 2 continuous coats. CYBERBRITE works best when the application remains wet on first time applications. These coats can be applied in sections if applied in direct sunlight or high ambient temperature (above 90 degrees F). If necessary, divide the Cybertruck application into 3 or 4 sections (driver’s side, passenger side, front/rear, or front, rear). When de-staining door jambs, remove CYBERBRITE by hand washing with mild detergent, followed by rinsing and drying. CYBERBRITE is safe to use on plastic trim and glass.

FOR EACH SECTION:
Saturate the provided microfiber cloth with CYBERBRITE (not dripping).
—Wipe the section completely, keeping the cloth wet.
—When doing in sections, let the application sit for 10 minutes or until it appears to be drying out.
—Apply a second coat over the first. Make sure the application cloth remains clean. —/During second application, removed oxidation can be transferred by the cloth and inadvertently applied to other areas.
—Let the second application remain for a minimum of 10 minutes. Up to 20 minutes longer is better if it remains wet.
—Inspect for missed areas or tough stained spots and reapply where necessary.
—After completing the coats, repeat the “INITIAL CLEANING” process mentioned above. —After drying, if any stubborn stains remain, wipe the area with 99% isopropyl alcohol and spot-apply CYBERBRITE, followed by washing, rinsing, and drying.

APPLICATIONS AFTER INITIAL TREATMENT
The second and subsequent applications of CYBERBRITE normally require only one continuous coat. In most cases, there is no need to apply in sections unless there is very high ambient temperature or severe spot contamination/staining. Wait a minimum of 15 minutes after completing the application. Repeat the “INITIAL CLEANING” process mentioned above.

One other quick note. By looking at the Tonneau after you applied, the water spots are caused by minerals in the water. I believe that is what's causing your spotting problem.

Thank you Gary for your quick response. You might be right that the water I have is well water, even it was treated by water softener.

As with all coatings, prep is key. More effort than the application, frankly.

Before I applied a ceramic coating, I went over the whole truck with BKF, washed it to ensure the acids were completely neutralized and any abrasives removed, and then used a paint-prep spray as the final wipe. The surface was pristine before application. IPA is very good at removing surface contaminants, but I found the paint-prep spray was easier to leave streak-free.
