Polished over 50 Cybertrucks and they look better and better each time

“Negative” example: I go to the notary for paperwork unrelated to CT, been going there for years. Lady comes out to see truck and the Karen comes out. “That’s going kill someone”. Really, ? Kill is extreme and you are notarizing paperwork on chemical tankers, big rigs, & Airstreams but never comment on those being polished.

Other increased negative, the birds have increased. I live in the south, it’s not that bad but I’m up to at least once a week. Especially when I drive for work thru college towns.

When they stopped to ask, how much did that cost? My usual response is about the same as a 350 Ford King Ranch. They don’t ask any questions after that.

Still, polished foundation. No regrets. It’s the most beautiful dumpster I’ve ever driven.

I think it's more related to the "rich" v "poors" argument than "CyberTruck" hate in general. Yea, no question, it magnifies the "Sparkle" of the CyberTruck's cost. Like you said, no difference in cost vs Legacy super duty vehicles. Stunning visuals I would be very satisfied with your customization.

I tell them it costs *less* than a Ford F-150 Raptor and it's a far better value, especially with the much lower cost of operation.

Mulling over getting my CT polished and trying to understand long term maintenance/care needs.

Biggest question I have is does one need to regularly have their CT re-polished, and if so, how often.

If needing to repolish is a regular thing, does putting on PPF over a polished CT make sense or is that a terrible idea?

Lastly I'm based in Houston (duh) but also through AZ/NV/CA frequently for work. If I move forward with this whats the easiest way to sync up? No rush on my side.

I appreciate that and I'm very glad you learned a little. So if you look at big rigs that drive a million miles you will see the difference between the aluminum and the stainless on these trucks. The fuel tank is aluminum and the straps that hold the tank are stainless. If both got polished at the same time, the stainless would last a million times longer because it does not oxidize and dull like aluminum.

We have customers that have had their CT polished over a year and a half and it looks exactly the same as it did the day we polished it. It basically becomes hydrophobic with a correct polish. No need for ppf or ceramic coating...you could use a quick detailer with ceramic spray that lasts several days. The maintenance is so easy the quick detail spray and a microfiber will be your best friend.

Definitely should not need a touch up or re-polish in it's lifetime. We travel all over the country. We have contract with In-N-Out burger polishing all their big rigs in NV AZ Utah and out your way. We can be wherever is most convenient for you.

Water spots are a surface deposit of minerals. They will polish right off with the same abrasives used to create a mirror finish. That said, cleanliness in the initial stage is a good habit when polishing, especially if you don't intend to take it all the way to a mirror finish. Cleaning with citric acid will remove water spots quickly and ensure you are not polishing those contaminants into the finish.

I really appreciate your input. I tried Adams quick detailer and while it lifted a lot of the water spots, there are some REALLY stubborn spots. I tried the diluted vinegar solution and it seemed to work on a really small spot, i just dont want to dull out any shine!

White Diamond is the polish I've been using on mine for 2 years. Each time I polish it, the finish becomes more mirror-like. Definitley not as mirrored as your polishing service produces, but, it has become brighter and brighter after about 10 hand polishes. So smooth and luxe, I've never understood why people keep talking about washes, Bar Keeper's Friend, etc.
