Great question. A proper Cybertruck polish doesn’t “wear off” like a coating—it’s a mechanical refinement of the stainless steel itself.
There’s no coating required, so there’s nothing to fail or peel. The finish will stay consistent long-term as long as it’s maintained properly. It’s very easy to keep clean—fingerprints and light marks wipe off quickly with a microfiber.
Over time, like any metal surface, it can pick up light wash marks or scratches depending on use, but it won’t dull out or fade. If needed, it can always be refreshed, but it’s not something that requires regular re-polishing.

We have customers that have had it polished for 2 years and it still looks the same as it did the first day. It will usually take 3 days to finish and depending on your location and where we have to travel, hotels and transportation it can vary from $7,500 to $8,500

Hello! We do if we have several in a certain area. We will be heading up coast of California Sacramento, Lake Tahoe then Washington..after that we head to Florida and towards the East Coast. But if customer wants us to go to them then we set up a date and figure out the best prices we can get them. Usually from $7500 to $8500 depending on where we have to travel, hotels and transportation.

Do you have any closeups of the stainless? I've polished stainless to a mirror finish before, but Christ it took forever to get that last 5% of fine scratches out. From 5 feet it looked perfect, but close up I could still see fine scratches from the previous polishing steps. It annoyed me enough that I just went with a brushed hand finish.

We try our hardest to keep the "hash" down some will use the cyclo machine to get rid of hash or light scratches but end up putting swirl marks in the metal.

Hash sounds like the perfect term. I would get the same thing on the plastic portion of the chairs I was cutting sanding marks out of with my Makita and a wool pad. Ultimately those disappeared with lots of DA polishing afterwards

It's just so cool to know you can reset the CT's exterior to 100% factory finish, or mirror polish, unidirectional brushed, and bounce between. Maybe one day I'll be bored and go the polished route. Just go panel by panel until it's done.

Yeah, but you'll polish all the way through the metal after doing this a few thousand times. Didn't think of that, did ya??

Yes unfortunately it is very hard to keep but there are a lot of people out there that do the etching or there is a nice foundation stainless emblem that can replace
