Make it a Class C E-RV, 200-mile range at 200K price point and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Liked the Evotrex PG5 enough to place a $100 deposit. It has some awesome capabilities and “gadgets”. However am currently leaning toward a smaller, less costly and very aerodynamic bumper pull like a NuCamp TAB 360/400 tear drop or the Airstream Basecamp. I’ll then add a small/quiet portable generator in the truck bed to complement the solar panels that both include. Either of those units brand new and optioned out to excel at off-grid are immediately available for 1/2 the PG5 price. Plus if someone goes any further off-grid than graded forest roads, the PG5 is simply too big and too heavy - twice the weight of those I mentioned above. For those who go further, I’d say cut the EvoTrex down by at least 1/3 (size & price) and eliminate some of the unneeded gadgets - then they’d have a winner.

Ok, I have no dog in this hunt, and I didn't yet watch the video, only looked at their web site...but IMO this is marketing at its worst. This might be a great product, but I personally have no interest in doing business with a company who is going to try to sell things this way.

"The PG5 is the first RV to deliver 270+ kWh of continuous power with integrated solar, advanced battery storage, and our 75 kW ultra-efficient onboard power generator."

As far as I can tell, it has a 43kWh battery.

The remaining 227kWh is...something else? Some random amount of time in the sun with the solar panels charging, plus some particular amount of fuel the gas generator can hold?

By this measurement, uncle Joe's 1997 airstream also has >200kWh of available energy, as long as he remembered to fill his generator's fuel tank.

Yeah I kinda had the same thought reading that. The way they word the power numbers feels a little too marketing-heavy for me. Still think the idea is cool though, especially the towing assist part. I’ve been checking out a bunch of newer RV stuff lately, even some Thor Motor Coach setups, and it feels like every company is racing to sound the most “future of camping” right now lol.

Yes the power available is battery plus generator tank. Pretty good. The generator can output 60kW DC, which is pretty fast so you could take it far off grid with only some fuel stations available. I really like this as a trailer and might be looking at this or similar in the future.
