This trucks are so much fun. I love how slick this profile is now. I took this photo with my friend Eddie by a new community they're about to build around Starbase, Texas with both our trucks. So different setups but the fun we have is all that matters. Please share more details about your setup. I like to get ideas from other Cybertruck owners to try and make my life easier on multi-month trips.

That is very cool and creative of you. I am testing the full length Urander prototype right now, and I can't wait to share all the details with DIY-ers. It's a fun add-on that will make my travel adventures easier and more fun.

We have been using for about a month and a half and figure out a few optimizations that if Urander leverages our feedback exactly, it will be incredible for even long term use (van life stuff).

Here a few photos from a couple of weeks ago. I had a small emergency surgery after this, so I don't have a lot more to share at the moment.

First of all, hope you are ok Teslatino. Wish you a speedy recovery. Very cool photos of the new tent. It’s such an improvement in the amount of space. At least, that’s how it appears.
Love the picture of your and Eddie’s truck facing each other. Two legends on the beach. An important beach on an important day.
What are your thoughts on the hard walls @NYCybertruck’s solution offers as compared to the soft walls of the new urander tent?
Obviously it makes the tent thicker and therefore less aerodynamic but when it’s open you get something much closer to resembling cyberphoenix BUT not for $70k.
I’ve always loved the idea of his truck but for most of us that just doesn’t make financial sense.

Of note, I installed this all by myself with the help of a portable gantry crane that I purchased with the savings rendered from not being sold the American version of this tent (long story).

I love how “slick” it looks! I wish my hard walled popup tent was sleeker just like yours but it wouldn’t be possible with the one inch thick aluminum honeycomb walls.

Urander cap took 5 months to arrive.
My experience with Urander hardware is that many items are ready to be shipped when ordered and the most I've seen if it is a production item, about three weeks. 5 months sounds like an early release product version.

That’s awkward! I meant to write 5 weeks not months. Apologies! I will edit the above entry.

Oh good. Glad that was a misunderstanding because I’m freaking loving this thread so far.
Thanks for the awesome post OP.
So, @Urander, how is it looking? You gonna ship these sweet sweet camper tents any time soon you think?

Yea we increased the opening angle to 46 degrees, and the rear opening height is now about 5’6” above the rack. It feels even roomier inside the bed and gives you more headspace for the backrest we’re about to release in the second prototype!

The Jedi-like patience will continue. Still very excited though. Getting as much mileage out my cybertent as I can for now.
I really will miss it eventually. I love that thing. Mostly for sentimental reasons because I remember seeing it very early on when it was called the “basecamp” and having a Wayne’s world guitar moment about it. Actually getting it was a monumental occasion for my wife and kids and I. We’ve also made some great memories in it.

Backrest for the second level (the tent) or for the bed?
