Possible solution to those who would like an armrest & cupholders

I was going to post this in a separate thread but my target audience is here.

Donor: 2013-19 Cadillac ATS Sedan
Cost: $17 shipped
Weight: 5lbs
Dimensions: 14.5”(L) x 11”(W) x 4”(H)

I figured for $17, it was worth looking at. Overall, it’s in very good shape except for 2 small nicks on the armrest, I’d say 9 out of 10. The compartment is about 6” x 8” and 1.5” deep. Enough for charging cables, wet wipes, etc.

The big question is how to secure it and how will it lay in the center seat? Since it’s 5lbs and leather/vinyl, I may try some rubber grip tape on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on the seat.

It’ll be a while before I get my CT to test but something like this could be an option rather than a plastic cupholder “box” from Alibaba (sorry, meant Amazon).
