    Space Exploration Vehicle

I love the honesty. I was always a big V8 guy. I bought my wife an SUV because I loved the sound of the 5.2 L engine and exhaust. I’m so over that now. My neighbor has an awesome Chevy and a Baja Bug that wake up the whole street when he goes anywhere. I’m chill now. I want peace and I WANT TO...

How often do you use FSD?

9 - I’m a distracted and aggressive driver. I know FSD is a better driver than me, unless I’m in a high stakes situation. But when I’m eating an ice cream sundae with two hands it can’t be beat. When I’m looking for music or podcasts I can do it without worry. I can do two things at the same...

IR LEDs Flash during FSD telemetry upload

Link and activity lights don’t transmit IR. Maybe OP was seeing visible light?

IR LEDs Flash during FSD telemetry upload

Makes you wonder if this is a security vulnerability. Fiber optic transmissions use LEDs to encode/decode transmissions, probably as IP packets. A clever hacker could point a camera at a CT and pickup the data, though I would hope it is encrypted. Encryption adds overhead and so it could be weak...

Guy walks into traffic while on his phone. Kicks my CB.

Given the timing and footage useable in court, the drivers move was premeditated and a felony had the pedestrian been hit. Compare that to the pedestrians violation of illegal crossing. Either way, driver loses and pedestrian gets million$ in damages. Was it worth it?

Free lifetime supercharging for Foundation Series Cybertrucks in inventory

Everyone knows first editions are going to be buggy. Only a fool would think otherwise. I tell people to avoid buying v1.0 of any product unless they want to be early adopters and deal with the issues. FS was beta quality, but I expected that. You should take your losses and sell it. Get a Dodge...

Birthing Tunnel (Cybertunnel) at Giga Texas gets steel exoskeleton

Haha, yeah man, so excited that Elon can showcase a good use case for the tunnels. Now everyone’s gonna have one. Texas heat and New England blizzards are great reasons for factories to have tunnels.

    Need help! ;-)

My wife was the same way. Even after I paid the reservation fee she was absolutely against it. Then things started to change. It took time and seeing that I didn’t care what anyone thought. She also made me promise she’d never have to drive it. No problemo there. As soon as I got it she flipped...

Free lifetime supercharging for Foundation Series Cybertrucks in inventory

You wanted to be the first kid on the block to have one. That was your perk. I don’t care what everyone else gets as long as I got what I was promised. Nobody promised me more or less than what I got.

Apple Watch Key Unlock process for Tesla Vehicle -- video

I think the primary use case is for active folks that run, hike, bike, surf, etc. that don’t want to strap anything to their bodies. I used to do that when biking to get full GPS and Bluetooth capabilities. Apple Watch already covers all the activities, as does Samsung, but now you can power off...

Have you switched from a Y to Cybertruck? Can you fit it in your garage?

Just moved to new home but old home worked too. New criteria for new was bigger garage for CT. Old was tight getting in and out, but plenty long since it was a tandem 3 car with 2 single wide doors. New garage is perfectly wide enough for 2 CTs plus a Y. Haven’t rolled out the carpet yet?

Rodent damage - any ideas or tricks to prevent?

Common issue with all vehicles, especially if the manufacturer has gone to biodegradable coating on the wire harnesses. This was the case with my Ford Explorer. In my case it was squirrels. My engine compartment was chock full of nut casings and the squirrel ate through my fuel system...

    Accident

Believe me, this is a good thing. You might have run off the road and ended up in a ditch had you been warned.

logos and badges are not permanent

Why was the tailgate being serviced? If it was gouged there is a standard process for resurfacing using a sander. To maintain a consistent look the entire flat surface must be resurfaced. That will definitely remove the laser etching to some degree. They should have pointed that out before...

    Accident

@fdonatti Did you get any sort of collision warning? You shouldn’t, in my opinion. It’s more dangerous to take evasive action than to sacrifice the animal.
