This is great, but my question is what if you are stuck inside and need to get out and the doors are locked or pinned by fire? Or what? Do you have a solution?
This thread is about being theft proof, I think your question might need its own thread with the topic of safety.

If that's your question, why don't you start a new thread instead of trying to change the topic on mine?

That’s great but what if you are in the backseat of an X that flipped over in 8 feet of water but there is fire at the tailgate and crocodiles?

A couple of serious comments (rare for me).
1) you cannot just tow a Tesla without setting off its alarm.
2) You can normally track it in the app if it’s towed.
3) A Tesla theft would either by an unsophisticated target of opportunity (saw the phone or keycard in the car) or very sophisticated and knows how to operate it, kill all the power so it cannot be tracked, and jail break it so it can be sold overseas.
4) A sophisticated thief would have a scanner for AirTags

Competent thieves can just tow it away.

and they are thieves with licenses to steal. I hate dealing with impound yards the fees and yard fees are ridiculous and bad attitudes because they have to deal with pissed off people all day, every day.

I can answer this one :
If you're in an X you wouldn't have a tailgate therefore no fire or crocodiles its only 8 feet of water, get your ass out of the car and stand up and swim up the remaining 2 feet and breath. depending how tall you are you may need to swim an extra foot or two.
Jk all in good fun

there are manual door release latches inside
It surprising how many Tesla owners/drivers are not aware of “emergency manual” door release handles. Important everyone who drives/rides in Tesla is aware of this feature. I also feel Tesla should make release handle “RED”

Setup pin to drive on app and main screen. The four digit key is your last hope for someone with your key card/phone or you incapacitated in the vehicle.

if they were to take your CT the location can be seen on any app signed in and I’m sure a remote control kill is possible from Tesla and it not hard to identify for l.e.o
You can also limit the speed to say 75 mph and watch them get caught.

Stand on the car, you don't have to swim.

PIN hasn't always been there because they were being stolen overseas mainly.
Sometimes they just loaded them in a enclosed trailer where they made the signal be lost.

Anyone with the key (card or phone) can take your Tesla when it’s in drive. If you have PIN-to-drive then they can’t take it out of Park.

Even if stolen, it can be traced by location, or even remotely deactivated.

Someone can tape all the cameras, flatbed it somewhere where there is no reception, and/or strip it for parts. But there are better cars to do that with I would imagine.
