I didn't place my order until over a year after so I am a couple years out on the list in any case. I also origionally reserved the two motor (before I bought a Y) so now I know a 300 mile range EV is not for me so I will be respecing to the 500 ( if it exists)
This just confirms that production has started :)
They are still putting out Model Y's that look like this so I don't see why you would expect a change.
The + to this entire rumor is that both the 2 and 3 motor varients are still in play for launch.
The only thing I want to know now is if the TRI is 500 miles
No one likes using their MY frunk because of how flimsy it is. If it was an auto frunk I suspect it would be used a ton more.
I suspect people will be ableto jump ahead if they go for a more expensive model ( just like they did with the MYP vs the MYLR.
On the bright side they utilized all that space under the dash ,as far as the frunk is concerned , I think people had hopes it would act as either a tool locker ( to offset having to install one in the back of the bed) or as a spare tire holder . Its really neither.
I'll reserve judgement for...
I avoid supercharging like the plague ... Only if I absolutley have to .
If I was leasing a car or traded it in ever few years I wouldn't care but I'm going to be driving this until the battery fails so I want that to be a while.
If you are using it like a car or an SUV then I'd agree but used as a work truck space is a necessity.
Many pickup users have a locking toolbox in the bed which can be accesed from the sides of the truck, it takes space from the bed but you have no choice in an ICE truck. It looks like you can...
That frunk sure isn't going to hold a full size spare....
We have now seen Cybertrucks in the wild with 4 or 5 distinctive wraps already, this is starting to feel more like an option.
Anyone complaining about the origional size of the truck doesn't own a full size truck. When I built my house I made my garage 32 feet deep in anticipation of fitting a lift with a full size truck in there.
The rear cab area is important for large passangers and cargo so every inch...
Even ignoring the area not touched by the wiper you cansee that the further you get away from the pivot point the more mud is caked where the wiper does touch . The wiper is just too large to do a great job on anything but rain. This wiper was always an afterthought , By the time my number...
Yea, this is my biggest concern. The fact they made this to "Fit in a garage" is not a good sign for me. They kept the Bed to 6' so this means that back seat is going to be tight . I was hoping for a back seat like a Tundra Crew Cab (like the silverado has) . I think it will be larger then a...
Makes complete sense.. the 4680 densities are not ready for a 500 mile truck.
You are seeing what I do with my MY . So 15% loss + a nominal charge at 80% + a nominal discharge to 20% gives about 45% of the rated range or about 160 miles and maybe 100 miles of towing.
I was thinking they...
I have a dual motor reserved but I plan to respec it to the one with 500 miles range. After having the Model Y for a year I won't purchase any more EV's with less then 450 miles of range. Especially one that will be used for towing.
Even if the TRI goes to $79.9k then people who had reserved the FSD for $7.5k will either loose the rebate or have to pay $15K for the FSD after. In either case you end up loosing $7.5K unless Tesla lets you pay that reduced price after the purchase .
Seriously though if Tesla jacked up the prices by about 50% from the reveal ( which is way beyond inflation) I'd be out of here without looking back. Tesla will always find someone willing to pay whatever they want but I wouldn't be one of them.
Main takeaway is never let an Investor estimate...
His kids are back there so yea...... that would not be cool..
I'm not sure I am feeling those tiny rear brake lights on a truck, seems like they should extend the height of the gate.
